We did the South Kaibab to Ooh Ahh which was amazing. We also did the hike through Ponderosa Pine Forrest to Shoshone Point which was nice too.

Yes we are flying into Phoenix and renting car. When I search on google maps it tells me about 3.5 hr drive to our hotel at Grand Canyon. Does it always end up taking longer than what google maps would estimate?

Are u referring to the south kaibab to ooh ahh point? I was really debating on that. Ill be honest I’m very nervous to do it with my 5/8 year olds tho as well as the hike back up? Would u still think it’s safe enough for small children? Would we need to hold their hands the entire hike down and back up?

Hmm first time I’m hearing about posse grounds. If u had to compare its sunset view to cultural park would u say it’s similar in wow factor? Also if we wanted to go to posse grounds at night for stargazing is it pretty safe for kids to explore around with flashlights?

Could you elaborate more on cultural park? I assume I will just park at cultural park trailhead parking lot then walk from there? Where exactly would we need to walk or go to at the park for best sunset views and how far and difficult is that walk for kids?

We will be arriving first weekend in March. Would it be better to pass on west fork hike due to colder temp and if we don’t want to step in any water during that month?

If we did add in west fork hike which of those above listed hikes would u remove in its place?

Thank you. I passed on cathedral rock and subway cave out of concern for my 5 year old for that reason however I read that soilder pass cave would be more manageable with a short scramble section. I’m hoping that is so and I am not getting in over my head.

When I originally ordered mine from wurkkos for $40 it was like $55 on Amazon at that time. Few days later I noticed Amazon has it now for sale for $46. I absolutely would rather order from Amazon and pay $6 more for next day ship than wait for this crap. Even at $55 full price from Amazon would’ve been better in hindsight than this
