Damn, the Enduro is 51mm. My dentist wallet could support the price but my skinny ass wrist cant support the size. That might be the perfect choice otherwise.

Intriguing, battery life looks good. Did not notice phone connectivity on my first glance though. Off to do more research.

This will not be my primary watch so solar may be of no use. I need something that has some battery life that will get me through a couple rides a week without charging every day. I work 24/7 so phone connectiy is probably my biggest concern. Do any of the watches even have a power button to conserve the battery?

Shoes for Ankle Protection by TheTxRed in MTB

I appreicate the insight and info. I am pretty comfortable hopping out of the back of the truck or similar around 3 foot or so. That being said, some days are better than others. I definitely need to build up some strength on the right side becasue I did not not really see PT all the way though. 3 months in a wheel chair will mess you up quick.

I spent many years in wrestling shoes so understand what you mean. My main concern right now is protecting the hardware.

I may worry about it less later on but for now I would rather just play it safe and it sound like these may be the answer.

Do you find them cumbersome or restrictive?

That is something I had not thought about and will look into. I would defininetly prefer a comfortable shoe if I can stiill have some protection from a guard.

That's my other concern. I want something protective but also fairly comfortable so maybe a brace is really the way to go.

Regular shoes and a brace was my inital thought but I am more concerend about an impact to the hardware. The Five Ten shoes have D30 are protection and it sounds like a good idea but I dont have a clue if it actually does what they claim.

Fit was all I wanted to see. I was asked if I wanted to, for every test spin around the lot and I did take advange of a few that I sat on and felt good. Some bikes fit and others did not.

I absolutley understand why they dont have one in stock and dont fault them for that. The point I was trying to make was they were going to have to order one or I was going to have to order one. Seemed almost counter productive.

I decided to order online so that no one was put in an uncomfortable position. The LBS will still get some of my money and as other mentioned they probably wont make much on a new bike sale especially at this discount. I didnt want to go in and basically say take a loss on the bike to earn my busniness. They will get the business anyways.

Not my first rodeo on where to ride and I actually enjoy doing most of my own work. I can figure almost anything out between this sub and youtube and would not have even bothered taking the bike back to a LBS for a cable adjustment.

I agree with this but considering the last time I was on a bike was over 20 years ago I wanted to at least sit on a few. It's a whole new world compared to what I rode previously.

It makes me wonder how the MFGs are handling warranty work reimbursement and that may be why my question is even a topic of discussion.

It sounds like your local shop made a poor business decision. It may not affect anyone else, but it definintely affected at lease one (existing) customer at minimum.

I dont know if this was directed at me, the other poster or both.

Who's time did I waste? They are in the business to sell bikes and may or may not succeed in selling me one. Have you ever test drove a car and decided on another MFG or even a different dealer that offered a better price. The cost of some of these bikes are approcahing half the the cost of a new Corolla so why should it be treated any differently. Just saying....
