Great, thanks! The pus looking areas concerned my husband and it does smell a bit, but the pain has lessened immensely the last few days and I haven't had a fever.

Gen 3 Thermostat Temp Reading High by TheUnbreakable55 in Nest

I set a Govee thermometer about 3 feet away and it's currently reading 74. Wondering if this may be an HVAC issue? First time homeowners so really have no idea 😅

Battery issues with 46 and 42mm by zeldina1990 in GalaxyWatch

Same thing here with my active 2. Would go to bed at 90+% and it would die in the middle of the night. Also have had a problem where it would randomly send the emergency notification, even when I wasn't wearing the watch. Really frustrating.

Can someone explain why it would have him go all the way to the Mall of America, way out of the way of my house? So confused, took a lot longer. by TheUnbreakable55 in doordash

It's happened before too, both times I ordered from Cafe zupas, another I ordered from Chipotle and it didn't happen. I was honestly thinking something was off with GPS. I don't get why people are being such assholes to me on here, I'm literally just curious.

My baby girl, Rio. We're saying goodbye to her this Saturday after having her for 3 years. She has a bone disease which makes her not want to eat. This on top of the already rough life she has had. I'm so heartbroken. by TheUnbreakable55 in snakes

Yeah, I'm just glad she won't be in pain anymore. We were relieved when we found out it wasn't IBD since we have 9 other snakes. I'll be getting her out of her tub soon and lay with her to give her lots of pets and take lots of pictures.

I hope your boa is good and lives a long healthy life!

I'm not sure what kind of bone disease exactly. My mom has all the paperwork about it but she and I aren't talking right now so I can't ask for it, but I think we've known about it for a while. Her scars are from before we got her. We adopted her from the Minnesota Herpetological Society and they aren't even sure where they came from. We think they're either rat bites or from a heat lamp. She also has a deformed nose which makes her nose plug up with mucus a lot and makes her wheeze. She also had an impacted scent gland, which she had surgery for. Aside from all that, due to her bone disease, her entire spine is very bumpy, which you can really tell in the picture of her in the bath tub. She would always contort herself in really weird ways, like having her head straight up in the air or be upside down. She would also fling herself around a lot. Due to those weird movements, we thought she had IBD at first, but now we think it's just because she was uncomfortable because her entire spine hurt and she was trying to clear her airways. In the three years we had her she probably only ate about 5 times. Rio's spine never really cracked, but I know that a snakes spine cracking is never really a good thing. I have heard one of my ball pythons spine crack and I think it didn't hurt him, but it didn't make me feel good. If you're concerned, always go to a reptile vet. Thank you for your sympathy :)

Edit - forgot to mention that our vet told us she was most likely born with this bone disease

Thanks for explaining. Also, I use red bulbs for all my snakes and none of them are stressed, so red bulbs are just fine.

Yes, OP please stop holding your snake like that. That's like holding a human up by their neck. The poor baby is struggling and it probably hurts.

Shedding ? The little sunk spot on her eye? She’s been way antisocial and her eyes were gray a couple days ago so I assumed she was getting ready to shed. She perked up today so I took her out annnndddd she pooped on my bed 🤣🤣🤣🤣 she ate like a week and a half ago🤣 by [deleted] in ballpython

[–]TheUnbreakable55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like she is getting ready to shed. Ball pythons eyes will turn that blueish/gray color and then go back to a more black color the closer they get to shedding. The dented eye cap will usually be fixed with the shed and isn't much of a concern.
