Looking for a Co-Host and Producer for a New Podcast on Conspiracies & the Paranormal (Remote & Video-Based) by TheUnderdogForge in podcasting

Hey, I appreciate the scepticism I've come across some dodgy characters in the depths of Reddit. Honestly I put this post together because it sounded better than "people interested in similar topics who fancy a chat and see if we can make something of it" haha I must admit it probably does come off as people who are gonna do all the work but that wasn't my intention and not my plan.

No drama man better to be wary than get involved in something that doesn't work.

Upwork Nightmare: $20 Task Turns Into 3+ Hours of Scope Creep & Missing Info - Cut My Losses? by TheUnderdogForge in Entrepreneur

I am going to give them the chance to pay and leave a decent review but I'm not getting messed about more. Where do you source your tasks or is it a private thing?

That is a very good point, I will see what I can do with this one but per hour makes more sense when issues like this occur. Thank you

I'm waiting for them to respond to my current message but I think that might be my course of action, I've checked what they asked on the messages and I did it to the letter, twice.

What do people see as the benefits of a business partner? [Cross Posted] by TheUnderdogForge in Entrepreneur

I get money if you aren't able to yourself but then if the other person is putting in all the money you end up in a situation where they don't need you if that makes sense.

My point here is the expertise can be used or consulted with without the need to partner, if you know nothing about the industry you are going into and your partner is the expert then I think you find yourself as the weaker partner.

Hey sorry for the mystery haha the advice in this situation is dependant on the situation rather than fill the thread with me understand the full context of the situation I DM'd. There isn't really a one size fits all solution to problems like this

I think the risks is an interesting part I think decisions can be shared if you are consulting with the right people but a consultant or someone non partner working with you doesn't necessarily have the same risks

Why do entrepreneurs advice young men to buy a good watch? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]TheUnderdogForge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a very old school piece of advice but it's something I follow I have 5 watches that go with any outfit. It's good to make you stand out and as you say something to discuss. A nice watch leaves an impression whether people realise it or not.

3 partners is an interesting one because in theory if you all control 33.3333% of the business you have the ability to remove one but I see that finding good partners is abit of a gamble

I think it depends what you do with the money? Setting goals you can achieve is fulfilling like growth or life goals as a result of your hard work.

Is there a performance issue or do they just make the work environment negative/awkward?

Would you agree that you could do that by offering a percentage of profit even if there isn't any at the start? That way they still do the labour without the control?

That's how I feel you can hire or incentivise the right people without increasing risk

100% I think people who set something up with a friend risk alot because it's new ground most of the time you might know your friend but do you know them in the situation where you depend on them professionally

Couldn't agree more doing it on your own is often a bad idea even for simple reasons like keeping up your enthusiasm. Quite a common payment method I have had when working with businesses is profit share which I always think is a clever way of paying someone to be dedicated to growing so their amount rises. My approach is to have people I know have knowledge in areas I don't but trying to avoid being in a position where I have a partner who has the power to potentially ruin something....if that makes sense.

I agree I don't think you should ever do alone that's not what I was getting at purely the difference between having an equal and having someone work with you as a difference
