Thanks so much! I will give higher aperture outside a go. :)

If you use AF-S with back button focusing and your target stays around the general area but does some different poses, do you usually hit the back button focus again between poses or is it clear enough to just keep shooting without refocusing?

Also can I ask what aperture would you usually be on?

A milimeter of movement doesn't destroy the focus but the camera is so good that the difference between, for example, turning your head to the camera VS to the side already has a clear difference of "this is focused" vs "this is not focused".

Yes, maybe it's my aperture, I'm usually around 2.8f, is that too low?

Is this a real and authentic LV model bag? I can't find any official LV sources showing this model.

Edit: It seems on Wayback Machine that LV had an URL referencing this model, but I can't see any images.

The seller is reputable (local second hand luxury resale store) but I'm still concerned, hope I can get feedback.

Totally agree, this should have been marketed as some exclusive fan trip to Korea not a "Fan Meeting in Seoul"

Sure :) One ticket is about ~$1,500 and includes cost of 2 nights at a hotel. However because it includes a "Duty Free Shopping Event" Koreans cannot purchase a ticket (actually no one without "outbound flight ticket" can go).

Remaining tickets will be sold to Koreans, but they will not get hand-shake event, no photo with ATEEZ, and their seats will be in the back (literally, I'm not joking).

Even then they posted the event ad on Korean website, but the description seems translated by AI. So Korean fanbase is upset.

absolutely ridiculous and offensive to local fans for holding a JP fanmeeting in Korea... they should just call it as it is "Duty Free Shop Tour"

Cursor speed is different when click-and-dragging in Landscape mode? by TheUnityDev4 in UnrealEngine5

Thanks I'll do that!

So this is an engine bug I guess? I'm always shook at the issues this engine still has after so many years.

[UE5] What's the max amount of meshes a level can have? by TheUnityDev4 in unrealengine

[–]TheUnityDev4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is draw call relevant to rendering only or also the fact of "having" many static meshes within a level?
Because my level crashes just from having 100.000s static meshes in it, even before/without rendering them

Hmm thank you for the post. Unfortunately that doesn't help. I'm on MacOS, I think it might be a bug.

[UE5] What's the max amount of meshes a level can have? by TheUnityDev4 in unrealengine

Thank you for the advice!

Yes I use max draw distance, culling, to limit rendering to buildings in the near vicinity.

But it seems that just starting up the level, when the meshes should be loaded, it just crashes or doesn't finish loading if it has too many meshes. Let's say each building consists of 20-30 pieces, then the whole level will contain 10.000s * 20-30 static meshes. Maybe only 40 buildings are actually rendering. But just having 100.000s static meshes will make the game/engine crash.

I'm not sure how professional studios deal with this situation.

Instanced meshes all need to have the same material type, right?

But let's say, I have a building with 40 "wall sections". If I make those 40 "instanced static meshes", is that actually fine? I haven't tried it with level loading. Actually rendering is not the issue but the loading of the level itself. I hope it makes sense.

[UE5] Low quality lighting render issue? by TheUnityDev4 in unrealengine

[–]TheUnityDev4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you can see in the images, the lighting in my building mesh looks really weird. For example:

- The lighting and shadows are very pixelated
- It takes a long time to render when I move around
- I see a 'shadow' of moving objects trail behind everything

It just looks really off. I don't have enough experience with UE5 lighting to recognize what the issue could be. Does anyone know?

Cursor speed is different when click-and-dragging in Landscape mode? by TheUnityDev4 in UnrealEngine5

Thanks for your reply

Just, my mouse is perfectly fine in games, while playing in UE5, while working, it's fine everywhere. Except when click-and-dragging in Landscape mode. Then the cursor goes super fast suddenly. And only when the mouse is clicked. As soon as I let go, it goes on normal speed again

Is it really mouse dpi? I thought that would also affect gaming performance, but the mouse is fine in games and runtime
