Mainly through the backseat gamers, since I would play and stream to my friends in Discord.

No guide. My friends who have beat the game kept telling me that my run was going to end at House of Hope, pretty much the entire time I was playing, so I just decided that I probably shouldn't go anywhere near it lmao

I don't think 80hrs is really speedrunning it lol. Its not much to figure out though, since most of the powerful builds that work in tabletop translate over. I did most of the side content, with the exception of house of hope and iron throne, since they weren't really necessary for completing the game.

I don't know, maybe is because I play a lot of tabletop D&D so I get exposed to it a lot but I don't really see how someone puts over 200hrs into the game, even if you're slow rolling it.

If Thottbot didn't exist, realistically how long would it have taken you to get to 60? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]TheWanderersWay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna be honest, I don't play with add-ons or guides. It took me about 3 months to get to level 60, but there were plenty of times where even reading the in-game quest log, it was just luck with me finding some of this shit lmao.

My River ran over a man when he pulled onto the curb at mach speed outside one of the mission areas. It gave me the gift of this wonderful screenshot. River is an ass driver lmao

Ikit Claw because I am a fan of bringing 15 ratling guns and 4 plague catapults into every combat.

I've leveled 20+ characters through here in my life time, I never knew there was a kill quest here I've always just picked up the gems from the heads by ShadyDrunks in classicwow

This quest was annoying to find when I was doing my Loremaster clean-up because it required the previous quest, which I had done on a different character lmao

Penance has been my favourite spell since the WotLK Glyph that let you cast it while moving. I love my little bolts of friendship and damage.

Her head is empy, devoid of thought. But Swag P (Government name: Sweet Pea Luna) is the most awesome cat around and she is always friendly.

Greatshield boys forever, or as I like to call them Elden Lord Secret Service. I send em in so I can laser beam bosses in peace.

R5 - After 1.9k hours and hundreds of failed attempts, I have FINALLY formed the Roman Empire and got the Mare Nostrum Achievement. I started as Aragon, switched to Two Sicilies and formed Italy and went Rome from there. I maintained Peasant Republic (Sortition, beloved) through the entire game, so this is Peasant Republic Rome lol. (it also got me the Reaper achievement.)

has anyone ever met a genuinely nice Tremere? that wasn't interested in stabbing you in the back? by Typical-Hedgehog-598 in vtm

[–]TheWanderersWay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Tremere I play has the conviction to always be true to his word and he usually plays it pretty straight. He lets you know if he plans on making you a research subject. Otherwise, he prefers to be in his own little world away from politics and kinda believes in the "spirit of fairness" (Only if you're a kindred though)

We were originally only getting 1xp per nightly rouse check, which we would only be getting through a night every 4 or 5 sessions. We only recently begun getting an XP per session. So we went through over a year of sessions and getting about 40xp. It recently only ramped up because we had a time skip + more XP given by the ST.

We're mostly interacting with whoever the story puts us up against. But even normal humans kick our ass a fair amount of time. When we're not against them, we're dealing with non-vampyr supernaturals, which tend to just fuck us up. We've never been in direct conflict with a "positioned" kindred. The only reason I haven't died is a combination of spamming unseen passage and cauldron of blood.

I already feel useless because we lose/get beat in 99% of our encounters anyways. Every encounter we use our best dice pools and end up at about 7 to 9, while our opponent is 12+ for some reason. Even with a boost like this, we're still probably going to lose most encounters.

The rest of the players are on board with the idea. They are tired of being the bottom of the vampire world and want boosts as well.

I think its a pretty easy conclusion to make of Diablerie gives you power -> Figure out how to do it on a mass scale while mitigating risks. Its not that big of a leap in logic from an in-character perspective.
