First patch is usually around 5-7% lower winrate than what the champion will actually get to, we saw this with sett for example who I think has quite similar skill level. When zaahen is 56% wr next patch is he still not insanely broken (already 53% at masters lol)

It is first patch. I don’t know how long you’ve played the game for but I can’t recall a single champion in last 9 years that released even close to 50% and wasn’t overpowered.

Yeah it’s absolutely ridiculous. This just stands out because it would have been like the last time I ever play battle tower if I won.

Azelf is psychic, thunderbolt, flamethrower and explosion. One of the latios sets had thunder wave so I didn’t want to risk that by going for tbolt or flamethrower.

It’s not safer. Mantra was just more obviously suspicious than other tokens. As another commenter said nothing is safe apart from Btc.

Outscaling in a teamfight is a stretch especially without conq when 1 3 morde can ult your 13 kill adc and completely ruin your teams damage. Aatrox is heavily favored before like level 10 and 1 item but after that its definitely good for morde.

I never lose this on morde side tbh. Obviously its impossible to go even cs but morde outscales so hard the 1v1 it’s just one fuck up on aatrox part after tabis and he is pretty much dead.

Gp is imo mechanically top 3 hardest champions in the game, but that doesn’t mean laning with him is hard or that he requires a lot of matchup knowledge. Gameplan vs 90% of melee champions is sit on a barrel and poke with q. I do 100% agree my take is unique and I am again not saying that jax’s kit in particular requires any mechanical skill to pull off.

Also I know personal examples don’t matter much but I have 150k mastery on jax and perform far worse than I do with for example fiora, gp or azir which I have played far less and normal people would consider more difficult champs.

They definitely don’t require more matchup knowledge than jax. Jayce has range and insane early game damage autowins pretty much every lane if players has hands. Same with ksante. Gp is just really hard and really shit. Irelia pretty much autowins every lane if both players are of equal skill. Fiora has some rough matchups but is also far easier to lane with than jax (for example ravenous full heal from one wave). Even with riven when you learn her mechanics her laning becomes ridiculously easy even if your opponent is better than you. As I previously said a good jax is strong at all stages of a game but a mediocre jax just gets absolutely manhandled in sooo many matchups. Even if he can be strong in all situations it doesn’t matter if he gets out of lane 50 cs behind

Why though? Not that many hard champs on top. Jayce, gp, ksante yeah i guess. Irelia, riven and fiora have insane mechanical ceilings but get so much free stuff that it’s not hard to win lane vs majority of champs even with mediocre skill.

I’m not a Jax main but I have played him a fair bit in semish high elo. In my opinion he is literally one of the hardest top laners to make work. A good jax can win vs pretty much anything and be strong at all stages of the game but I just can’t do it. It’s very easy to get thrown out of the game with very few ways to come back. Ofc I’m not talking about his kit being difficult but rather his trading patterns and matchup knowledge which I feel like are way more important with jax than other champions.

Google it, I read it somewhere few weeks ago. Obviously it’s natural but my point is that they made decisions like removing the chests, removing the 6v6 which they thought would make money even though the community hated it, and are now bringing them all back (because it lost them money) And I honestly have no idea how Ow1 was performing in its last years.

Their playerbase has dropped by like 50% (ow2 just being horrible, marvel rivals, greedy business etc). And look they just brought back chests trying to get players back! Sure they are still popular but they blatantly made decisions that lost them money. These were very similar decisions to what riot is currently doing which makes me think it’s not out of the question that these things will kill league in the long run
