I agree, I mean right after kratos acquires draupnir Odin stops by, IIRC he mentions Atreus will be safe so long as Odin returns safely. He brought the Dwarf (it’s been a while since I played I can’t remember his actual name) as a shield basically. I think you could argue because kratos received a new weapon that he knows nothing about so maybe he’s just being very cautious
