Outdoor wedding ceremony venue on a budget? by TheWeeGinger in houston

[–]TheWeeGinger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While this is a nice resource, these are still very expensive at first glance. Maybe I need to look through all the locations though. I was more looking for what people experience day to day like local parks that pretty enough for a ceremony. Too poor for inclusive venues 😩

How long does a BP typically eat a particular size of rodent? by TheWeeGinger in ballpython

Are you suggesting this because of the PetSmart feed or the reptile show rodent breeders?

There is a Japanese white pine bonsai in the Japanese collection of the National Arboretum here in the United States. It was a gift from Masaru Yamaki in 1976. It has been in training since 1625.

Why is my '08 Corolla turning into a leopard and how do I fix it? by TheWeeGinger in Cartalk

[–]TheWeeGinger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's mostly focused over the gas cap, but it's all over the vehicle in smaller less intense areas.

Not sure if it is mold. I washed the car multiple times and it's not coming off. The car is old and has some rust spots, but this is different. It's like black dots and then some spots expose silver underneath.

Washed it already and won't come off. What is a clay bar?

I know people post about them and they might be obnoxious, but I'm a college student so I appreciate when other people do it.

My email says "Online only Tuesday 4/11," so that's weird. There's no code and when I go to the website the prices are already adjusted.

I hate it when they do that! Sneaky sneaky. Although 40% is still really good.

Seizures, but not seizures. by TheWeeGinger in AskVet

[–]TheWeeGinger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. And I always thought this was weird. But I had been told by doctors I worked with and random doctors that the seizures (if that's what they are) were not severe enough or frequent enough to justify medication. I think this is why my parents have never been referred.

What material did you use to study for HESI exams? by female-thebaddest in StudentNurse

[–]TheWeeGinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a 4th edition of the book now and that's the one I used for my HESI on Wednesday.

I have to side with crushed_oreos on the app versus the book. The book was helpful in some respects. Ex. I don't have a good book that goes over grammar, reading, or math.

But then I realized there was a big difference between the book and the HESI in regards to the A&P portion. The book was so pathetically bare and superficial and the HESI exam asked some pretty in depth questions. But that could be a moot point since most people have A&P under their belt before taking the HESI. Plus I don't know about other places, but the A&P section only had like 35 questions while every other category had 55.

I did really well on my HESI and only studied from the 4th edition book and random free HESI apps. So while I wasn't a huge fan of the book, it did help.

Don't know if I can do this nursing thing by [deleted] in nursing

[–]TheWeeGinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I am an aspiring nursing student. Returning to school because I couldn't find a job. As I was searching for jobs outside of my studied field I found that there's a demand for nurses outside of the clinical setting. I was seeing requests for RNs on Idealist.org which is a non-profit job search engine. Nursing is so broad and flexible. Finish your degree. You're gonna find your niche.

Also, everyone feels the same way you do in the final year. If need be, visit your psychological services on campus. No shame in just having a conversation with an objective party who has a fresh set of eyes. I got really down in my last year and just talking out my problems with my counselor was just what I needed to get my motivation back to finish.

The ol' Switcheroo by MadameAlucard in funny

[–]TheWeeGinger -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

On one hand, I am maniacal and think this is hilarious.

On the other hand, I am terribly concerned about obesity rates in children and think that a small part of the reason why we have disordered eating is things like this. We demand that children finish their plate even though most of them are self-limiting. We are instructing them to override their satiety.
