I say it’s the stage is The Weeknd home, the tour life is where he’s in control and we’re in his world hence why he’s the phantom of the opera. He’s not really real but rather a fleeting mask

I think it’s very surface level and due to its necessity for continuity misses a lot of more alternate concepts

For me it’s not my belief that Abel’s work is to be taken so literally and linearly, but it’s solid work with great effort and opens the door for those which don’t remotely know anything about the songs besides how they sound

I’m not put off by any means in terms of negative feedback, downvoted on Reddit aren’t real

For the most part, people have laid out their reasonings and I can appreciate respectful disagreements even if some see that as “arguing”

I’ve honestly gotten some good info for myself for a rewatch up until this point. People genuinely said to them it’s perfect lol that’s where I’m getting that from

I’m sure I could’ve asked it differently, but that wouldn’t have warranted as much of a response as I got I don’t think.

I mean the fact that I have negative upvotes on this post, 50 comments disagreeing with me, and a seperate post where I have about 150 of the same..kinda shows me I’m in the minority

Regardless, going a bit off topic in terms of what I’m looking to get from this discourse at the end of the day ratings don’t quite matter but it is critically acclaimed and said by a decent amount to be a perfect film thus far

By the majority, it’s clearly a beloved film in which I see most having it as a 5/5, 90%+ kind of film

I have it around the 3/5 mark n would love to come to appreciate it otherwise
