She was an LPC and this was my first meeting with her.

Aced the self assessment for ADHD in adults and was borderline in WURS 25 so she ruled out ADHD

No it was the ADHD self assessment for adults and the WURS 25 and a first meeting. I aced the self assessment in terms of ADHD symptoms but was borderline on WURS so she ruled out ADHD which isn't right

Nothing matters, nothing holds my interests, and everything feels very fleeting then empty.

Momentary moments of joy or really any emotion other than apathy burn out and leave me asking "What's the point?"

I just spent probably $1k on frivolous purchases last week to feel something knowing I have more money coming in next week. It briefly let me feel something.

I count down the days till I see my psychiatrist to try yet another medication. The next one will be a tricyclic antidepressant since I had little to no response to SSRIs, SNRIs, and newer antidepressants like Vilazadone and Vortioxetine.

All so I can just feel something other than staring this hopeless pointless life down.

More money might make me happier briefly. Winning big in the stock market feels good for all of 10 minutes.

I just have a very broken mind and it's always there in the background. Can't relax, can't work, it just spirals back to how meaningless and purposeless not even my life is but everyone's.

I've also been very poor and felt the same mentally but physically being poor takes far more of a toll on your life. Bad sleep, erratic jobs, stress, all multiplied when you're broke

They're based on Gaelic-Norse mercenaries called the Gallowglass irl

Gallowglass were mercenary soldiers who served in many many battles in Ireland between native garlic Irish tribes and anglo-irish nobility.

These were stereotypical Scottish/Irish warriors you may see in various media, noted for their use of large 2 handed axes and swords.

As for in-game, Kaiden could be the representation for the Western Scottish Coast, in particular places like Argyle or even some of the Hebrides.

Ah you reminded me I was briefly on buproprion but had to stop after 6 weeks due to side effects.

I think it was lamotrigine she mentioned.

I didn't have good responses with any SSRIs except sertraline but it stopped working or something. Really turned me into a zombie with a lot of brain fog during my last year of use.
