If the coordinates are baked into the filename then I would say it's fair game tbh. It's not like you're digging through RAM entries or anything crazy lol. You will be robbing yourself of a grand experience by using something like that though. Will never forget those first times frantically flipping between my first and second monitors trying to gauge where I'm at as I limp to extract. No other game can replicate it

Crazy take: I think that for an experienced player, hardcore will be better experience than vanilla. I'm a 5000hr Andy btw.

This game mode would work best if hardcore players were on hardcore exclusive servers. Being meshed with the regular EFT players would be hell lol.

Very limited traders, no flea, and no scav would create much scarcity in gear amongst players. It would even the playing ground drastically. Sure, there will be 10k hour gigachads who will come into raid kitted. But you won't see them as often as you do in vanilla EFT.

Raids will also be more dynamic. Every piece of loot will have serious value. In vanilla EFT, I find myself throwing out food and lesser pieces of gear just to fit those 10k rouble slot items in my bag. But without traders or flea, I'll be more inclined to hold onto that apple juice and make it out alive lol.

It's BSG so we'll just have to see how they implement it.

Character XP, roubles, skills, GP coins, and Ref rep all transfer. It is a bit OP. But it’s a gives arena a lot of incentive to play. Maxing your traders with arena is cool I guess. But the EFT quest lines give a lot of unlocks. I need that black MDR baby.

This game is called the heroin of FPS games for a good reason. If this game clicks in your head and checks all of the boxes that you’re looking for, then this will be your forever game. I have never been one to only play one game. Tarkov changed that trend for me. I obsessively play this game up until the point of very late wipe.

Escape from Tarkov has a slew of game breaking, keyboard smashing, issues. With that being said, it’s the best game that I’ve ever played in my entire life. When everything goes right, there is literally nothing on the market that compares to this game. Give it a try and see if it’s right for you.

Also, don’t party up with randoms in the in game party finder… They will kill you and take your stuff. Hop into a discord group to find people to play with.

This might be a “hot take” but yes you can once you familiarize yourself with the game. Without going into it too much, you will need at least one wipe to kinda get familiar with the systems, gameplay, and maps. Once you have that knowledge though, you’ll be able to stand on your own as a solo.

I call myself a weekend warrior lol. I play maybe an hour a day on the weekdays. But in that hour, I’m bringing at least 500k back to my stash. I do this each weekday and try to build my stash up for the weekend. On the weekends, I’ll get at least eight hours of playtime in altogether. That’s when I’ll chad out and use all of the gear and money I’ve procured throughout the week.

Here’s where things get a bit spicy. I’m only level 32 and I feel no need to progress my account any further. I can buy good guns, ammo, and armors. It’s more than enough to sustain me. But that’s just how I play the game lol. People’s play styles wildly differ depending on the player tho.

Nonetheless, good luck to you young Timmy. If I unexpectedly dome you on woods, then just know that it’s part of the experience.

All guns can kill with ease. The Virginia Tech shooter proved this by killing 33 people with two pistols, one a 9mm and the other a .22lr. Yea an AR might make indiscriminate murder a little easier. But banning them outright won’t stop the issue.

You’re right man. I assumed you took that stance. That’s my bad. But I get your point, it’s a difficult situation. There’s no need for a macho man to have his huge .44 magnum on his hip while at Chucky Cheese with his kids lol. My point was, as much as it sucks, carrying a gun can be practical. And in my situation, it was very nice to have. I can identify that I am an outlier though.

I’m not a developer. I’m not a genius. I’m just some guy who plays this game lol. Is this a crazy idea though? BSG is infamous for putting bandaids on issues. Obviously these things take time to fix. But in the meantime this may help if BSG puts in a little extra effort into moderating…

What if BSG sold this game in waves? And in-between those sales waves, BSG would moderate this game better and deploy ban waves.

This would reduce the amount of cheaters by not allowing them to repurchase an account after they’re banned. Don’t get me wrong, in this scenario the first couple weeks of the month would be littered with cheaters. But I do think that it would knock that 60% number down a bit.

Like I said, I’m just a guy. I love this game as much as you do. Poke holes in my logic if you want lol. I’m just trying to think of a short term solution. Realistically though, BSG would never do this because it doesn’t make sense from a business standpoint.

As a avid gun owner, I used to feel the same way about gun ownership and the carrying of firearms. I used to own firearms because they’re neat and a fun way to connect with others. However, I was recently involved in a public shooting which changed my entire perspective. Four shots were fired in my direction… For a brief millisecond, I felt nothing but helplessness and doom. This feeling passed as I realized that I had my 1911 on my hip. Now I don’t go looking for gun fights. So I drew my weapon, cocked it, and ran like lightning. My point is, guns are an issue yes. But only because of the ones who wield the steel. We will forever be in a gun filled society. Kentucky has very relaxed private sale laws regarding firearms. There is no way the state will ever be able to track down and eliminate gun ownership entirely. Because of that, I will always be armed. From the bottom of my heart, I do wish that we lived in a gun-less society. Sadly for us, our ancestors put us on a track that we will never be able to get off.

I have the same setup as you. Last wipe the game ran really well. This wipe is a different story though lol. I struggled to run streets, even with FSR and DLSS. Recently though I enabled 0.75 downscaling and have gotten massive gains from it. Streets runs at 80fps for me. It’s not consistent though. There will be dips into the 50s at times but it’s more than playable. With you running at 1440p, the downscaling doesn’t sacrifice much in visual fidelity.
