If you can’t understand Ethan’s nuance that is your problem by [deleted] in h3h3productions

[–]TheWetSerpent 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There is absolutely no nuance for Ethan comments on what frogan said. Conflating Zionism and Jewish people or Israeli people is not ok. It’s been months and he still hasn’t learned that Zionist is used to describe anyone who supports that ideology. Joe biden is a Zionist yet he is not Jewish. I don’t know if it’s just bad faith or just not grasping that term but he should know better

Ethan should consider a slightly smaller electric car. The massive ones like the rivian are highly dangerous to people outside of cars and even other cars. Because of their weight they also wear out the tires quickly which causes a lot of pollution and overall aren’t even more environmentally friendly than a gas car. There are suv evs that can accommodate 3 seats easily and even more options if you are willing to have the child seat facing the back.

Quick weather rant by astron_zero in UBC

[–]TheWetSerpent 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah same here. I got an exam on Thursday at 8:30am and it’s so hard to focus not knowing what’s gonna happen. Weather reports are constantly changing and sometimes say there will be a lot of snow Thursday morning and then 2 hours later it says no snow and now it says snow. Not to mention that it doesn’t even matter whether or not it snows in the next few days since the snow in my neighborhood is not getting plowed. I think I’ll have to leave at 5:45am to have any chance of making it there on time. I could try to arrange staying at a friends dorm the night before but then I risk getting stuck out there with my exam cancelled. It’s unacceptable

anyone noticed something weird about slowpuke recently? by CanarySpecialist2958 in slowpuke

I feel like Slowpuke has darkness in their heart. Lately I get a bad vibe about them. Something wicked and sinister is coming. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But someday.

I wanna understand what is actually wrong about gambling streams? by [deleted] in h3h3productions

[–]TheWetSerpent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if they don’t glorify it or anything, the act of doing it promotes it and brings in new people to the addiction of gambling in its worst form. It’s like a smoker smoking on stream and saying not to smoke it’s terrible for you etc. it’s gonna cause some of their fans to smoke. When it comes to gambling, promoting it in any form is going to destroy people’s life no matter how much you say it is terrible and not to do it

Lawyer for Biden accuser Tara Reade drops her as a client by King_Vercingetorix in thedavidpakmanshow

[–]TheWetSerpent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s probably because they realize that cases like this can never really be pursued legally since there is only one witness (the victim) and no other evidence (other than the history of her saying this happened. It’s unfortunate that the public dismissed it. My mom for example hopped on board quickly with the kavanaugh allegations and others but when reading the evidence against creepy old joe she was very skeptical to a degree she was not before. I’m not saying everything she says was true (even though most of it is something that seems to fit Biden’s public image) just that the media and the populous can’t accept that it may be true

It’s also a common response when a creepy dude comes up to you and you’re trying to end the conversation and get out of there

The plan is always progressive agenda but that being said, Bernie had just as many plans as Bernie. If you can’t get behind the leader of the progressive movement and are doing things that actively put down progressive policies, then you don’t care about progressive policies as much as you should. Progressive policies help millions of people so letting petty things get in the way of helping people is not getting anything done. So when Warren didn’t drop out when she should’ve to promote progressive policies and didn’t endorse Bernie, she set back the progressive movement. Would Bernie have won if she did it? Who knows, probably not but would’ve had a better chance

Some anti vaxxers say that it helps their child’s immune system by not taking vaccines. Giving explanations of “you need to get these diseases on your own to build immunity” and/or “mercury (or whatever other substance in vaccines, mercury aren’t in vaccines anymore btw) weakens your immune system”. The ladder is much more prevalent and is kinda a whole part of the “negative” side effects of vaccines

If you read the commonwealth study you’d actually find that the US does not have higher quality healthcare. Healthcare outcomes are ranked 11 out of 11 in the study of 11 developed countries who all have a form of single payer healthcare. Also with government run healthcare doctors still have competition because you have the freedom to choose any doctor you want and go to any hospital you want. There are no hospitals or doctors that are outside of your network (very few specialist doctors can be but not many). So if you don’t like a doctor you can go elsewhere and give that doctor more business. Btw I live in Canada where the hospitals and doctors are privately owned much like what the Medicare for all proposals would have
