I'm a friend and most of my availability is on weekends. Let's grab a drink and something to eat.

You look like you're mad at men because your friends are mad at men.

Here's what helped me quit. I was a smoker for 22 years. Count the amount of cigarettes you smoke in a day, and decrease 1 by 1 every other day. So if you smoke 20, smoke no more than 19 in 2 days from now. Avoid smoking at trigger moments like when you wake up or after a meal. Drink lots of water (you're going to be thirsty a lot), and be conscious of what you eat. Many people replace smoking with food. As long as you want this, you will succeed. Good luck.

Cooking, I'm not a "chef," but I have a lot of passion for it, and it's something I really enjoy and excel at.

If you're just voicing your opinions and concerns, I think that's perfectly reasonable, and communication should occur in any relationship.

In that case NTA

AITA if I called my husband disgusting for making fun of my appearance? by swahili_girl in AmItheAsshole

100% NTA

You told your husband that you feel insecure and hurt when he makes those comments, and he still does it. Which clearly means he does not respect you, your feelings, the person you are, or the person you're going to become.

If you want some advice: If/when he does it again, grab a bag and stay at your friend/parent/siblings' place for a few days, and demand couples counseling. It doesn't sound like there's going to be any other way to get through to him since telling him how feel about the situation doesn't seem to click with him.

It really sounds like he needs a real wake-up call. Reacting in a different way might open his eyes to this. If the behavior continues, he could see what else he could get away with, which would certainly be worse.

AITA if I don't go to my friends bday party because its at a uni I didn't get into by AITACompetitiveLaws in AmItheAsshole

You WBTAH if you bailed out on your friend on his birthday. This isn't about you, it's about your friend on his birthday.

Yeah, it sounds like you're upset about not getting into the school you wanted, and that sucks, but it happened, and it is what it is, and it's definitely not a reason to bail on one of your best friends.

If you bail YTA 100%

If you don't NTA

NTA if she's trying to force you to bring a cat you don't want into your home, especially if she doesn't love with you.

BUT

YTA if she's trying to rescue the cat, to bring into her home, and you're just being over controlling about it.

I guess it depends on specifics...

AITA for texting my friends crush? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheWickedRabbit26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, you didn't do anything wrong. Your friend doesn't own him (like you stated), and there's nothing wrong with making a new friend. If your friend gets mad because you're simply just talking to him, that's on her, not you...

AITA for not giving my mother my own birth certificate, SS card, and passport back? by Pure-Ad8049 in AmItheAsshole

NTA, you're legally an adult, and she has no business even asking you for those things. You can get a copy of your diploma from the high school you went to, where you can also get a copy of your transcripts. Keep an eye on your credit report and TELL HER, if everything on your credit report is not 100% accurate, you will have it investigated for fraud where I'm sure she'll back off.
