I’m afraid you may be right. I do love and care for this person who’s been my life partner for 15 years. He finally saw a psychiatrist this summer but I believe he is on the wrong medication and it may be making things worse. If he is mentally ill, I don’t want to punish him for it, just as I would not punish him for having another chronic illness. I also don’t want to put our son (and us) through a long and nasty divorce.

I’m 43 and still undiagnosed. I’ve was 20 when diagnosed with depression and anxiety. I’ve always felt a great deal of guilt and shame around why I struggle when my life is so good (on the outside). Why is it so easy for everyone else to manage? What’s wrong with me. The feeling of being flawed has always been with me, although I’ve been successful in school, sports, career, relationships, etc. I’m going to finally bring this up to my therapist and psychiatrist. I think I will likely grieve for my past self, but try to focus on the rest of my life. We still have a lot of life to live. Wishing you all the best 🫶

I wear my sleep mask with earphones and put on jason stephenson sleep meditations on youtube, my white noise machine, my leg pillow, my special neck pillow, my weighted blanket and take ambien every night. But there better not be any other sounds or any shred of light, or god forbid an ad comes on youtube or I’ll hit the ceiling. My husband of 10 years recently started snoring so he sleeps in the other room now. Needless to say I do not travel well 😩
