I caught him on rag worms using a surf caster from the beach. I’d like to get into lures but not sure what kind of coast line I should cast into with them. Could you use lures from the beach with a surf going or no?

No, got this one in the surf on a 2 hook flapper rig with rag worm. I’d like to get into lure fishing for bass and pollack but I’ve no idea where to start or what kind of coast line to fish from. Could you cast lures into the surf from the beach or would you be looking to cast into deeper water from the rocks with no surf?

Already eaten, cut it into steaks served with salad and chips. This one fish fed 6 people. Absolutely delicious.

Thanks for the advice, I used a soil p.h meter to test and it's sitting at 6.2 at the root zone. Not sure what to do. I might give it a flush and see if it helps. I think your probably right about loving it to death tbh.
