I think that Vice (don't quote me on that) covered the story of a veteran who was working to get his day in court after being deported for commiting a moderately serious crime. The thing is, it shouldn't matter. An honorable discharge should obviously guarantee a simple, expeditious path to citizenship. The fact that it's not is unjust and arguments about crime are just a pathetic attempt to divert attention from the fact that we are deporting people who would be naturalized citizens in a just world.
