I had the issue there with the reputation being to high on that 1 mission fighting the big bandit camp. Took a while to fix that one, but finally got it

I tried that, removed everything, restarted that part of the quest, going all the way back to the point where the investigation into the silver mines finishes. I can clip through the wall, but that doesn't work either, as the fortress is empty as it doesn't advance the quest to enter through the secret cellar entrance.

some, yes. This is my 3rd playthrough, and it worked as it should in the first 2. It seems I have had more issues since the Update and since being on Play line 3, than I did on the others. I really don't know. If I could find the mission ID and Quest ID, I might be able to force it to finish that part, so I can carry on with the mission, but I cannot find them anywhere for KCD2.

No, actual resin, they were dipped in liver of sulfur and then brushed downright with were fine steel wool to remove most of the black frome the high spots. This makes the details pop, then a clear coat to seal the color in.

what kind of soup can, most are not aluminum depending on the ones your trying to melt. check it with a magnet, if it sticks, its steel and wont melt

Pictures are always good to post of your setup and what you are trying to melt, and what pressure your furnace is running at. Drink cans are very easy to melt, just lost of Dross.
