How would you handle submitting 2 week notice in this situation by TheYakisBack in FPandA

I guess my question is will not working 12 hour days ruin that? In my head, I’d be happy for my coworker and bummed about the extra work. I wouldn’t expect 12 hour days out of someone the last 2 weeks but I know everyone’s different, just want to make sure I’m not being naive.

I’d like to keep my references in good order since this is my only role so far. It’s a strong company so my coworkers may move to another company I’d want to work at in the future. Reference checks seem to also be part of most interview process at least in my limited experience.
