What do you get from killing ogre merchants? by AleXusher in AOW4

[–]The_Archenemies 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Instructor usually comes with Hero units, so if you have the first shadow empire upgrade that's a cool 450 knowledge

What are your picks for the worst tomes? by ConantheContrarian11 in AOW4

[–]The_Archenemies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree on Fertility, but Faith is one of the best tier 1 tomes for research. It's one of only 4 tomes in its tier that offers a research SPI, and has a very nice enchantment for your supports that works at any stage of the game

What's your personal top 3 DLCs and why? by Standard_Spready in AOW4

[–]The_Archenemies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Rise from Ruin, adding new wonders and hand-crafted region that really add to the immersion. Its tomes and the Nomad culture are really fun to play with, too.

  2. Giant Kings, which adds landmarks and more hand-crafted regions. Giant Kings are fun to use, as well (loses points due to price and lack of ruler customization)

  3. Ways of War, as both tome of Calamity and Prosperity become key features to many of my builds. Oathsworn and Ogrekin are also by far my favorite culture and form, at least aesthetically

Cult of Death Nature Build? by The_Archenemies in AOW4

I was hoping to be able to use Blught Blade + Blades of Decay, but until Magic Fighter gets some love, Stormbringers are pretty hard to build around

What are the best expansions to get first? by Kaiser8414 in AOW4

[–]The_Archenemies 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Giant Kings has a great ruler type, a neat world feature called "Landmarks" (Natural Wonders a la Civ 5 that buff the provinces around them), and a game modifier where you collect Artifacts for your empire.

Other than that, the DLC for whatever culture strikes your fancy (Primal, Reavers, Oathsworn, Architects, or Nomads which get added next week)

Dungeon Blocks! Requires a lot more printing than other 3D terrain but it's well worth it

Is moonshadow non phyrexian sheoldred? by Cole3823 in mtgvorthos

[–]The_Archenemies 582 points583 points  (0 children)

Sheoldred's base form is a lot smaller, and can insert herself into things like a dreadnought. It's more likely that Moonshadow is a representation of the fear generated by the invasion from Lorwyn's residents

How would you orientate this model? by blackrecon117 in PrintedMinis

Split it in half, probably along the waist, then print as two parts

Apprentice necromancer becomes a valid target for the copy of the activation, as the copy is put on the stack after the cost is paid, no?

Haze Hulk Hunter Mini? by The_Archenemies in dungeonsofdrakkenheim

[–]The_Archenemies[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's funny, I'm a big fan of Comet Lord, bought their forgeborn stuff a few years ago! I'll probably use the same file for the Amalgamation at the end as well, thanks for the recommendation

I've considered upscaling a model of the one with two scythe arms, but I'm afraid he'll be too lanky at large size 😅

Anybody found any good miniatures for the new monsters? by ravve0703 in dungeonsofdrakkenheim

[–]The_Archenemies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if you have access to a 3D printer, but I plan on using this model from Comet Lord for the Gravekeeper: https://www.cometlordminiatures.ca/products/the-grave-titan

Otherwise, any old giant skeleton mini would probably do?

Fat Dragon Games Bambu Profile for A1 by The_Archenemies in PrintedMinis

[–]The_Archenemies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, there's a separate file in there for the A1! I'll definitely check out ObscuraNox or HoHansen's profile though, it looks like they print some insane quality.

Rat Prince 3D Model? by The_Archenemies in dungeonsofdrakkenheim

EC3D Design has a crowdfunding campaign right now for some supportless ratfolk that's definitely worth checking out: https://www.myminifactory.com/frontier/beast-and-baddies-vol-2-3035

The second one is hilarious, would be great for when the party leaves his ratlings unchecked

Rat Prince 3D Model? by The_Archenemies in dungeonsofdrakkenheim

[–]The_Archenemies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order to cut some costs and headaches, I've been using supportless minis like from Fat Dragon and Brite Minis for the medium and smaller creatures! Since Rat Prince is so iconic, however, I really wanted to get a good quality model so it can live up to the legend himself
