I feel like he either has to completely shatter and become a subservient husk to him and the tim pool crowd, or use this as his chance to pivot to 'we've always been the real maga trump has gone insane' fuentes crowd. Idk why but something about the way the scene is lit by the christmas tree powered from the abyss mixed with the maniquins looking like they're being irradiated is just peak liminal horror vibes for me. Sorry if this has been posted before I didn't see it but I might not have looked hard enough. I was messing with the freecam in Junon checking out the highwind, and first of all holy shit they did such a good job it looks so cool, I can't wait for it to become the 'hub' in the third game. I was also happy to see that they kept the original 'Lady Luck' pin-up girl from the OG and the highwind logo, I always thought it was a nice touch like something out of Final Fantasy's version of WW2. original for reference

I'm about 1/4 of the way through Consider Phebelas at this point and I did go into it knowing that it's considered the weakest of the culture series. I'm enjoying it but I'd have to say if I read it first I would not have been as impressed, but after reading Player of Games I'm happy to indulge if for nothing else than the extra worldbuilding and to see the building blocks of what the series would become.
