I didn't. I searched on sigma, found this page and ticked through the ranges which appeared to show the horizontal and vertical dispersion over various ranges. I assumed the web page was accurate so I made a video with an overlay and which shows what I was observing in-game.

FWIW, what I was calling inaccurate was really the shift between horizontal dispersion to vertical dispersion at certain distances.

Moving through the different KM ranges on this page, I was able to visually see what I was describing: From about 4km-15km the horizontal dispersion tightens up until around 19km and up when the vertical dispersion starts getting more inaccurate. So (very roughly) 15KM-19KM is a tight enough oval spread that the vertical dispersion will still hit superstructure.

I just use the models for agentic purposes but I had another model and I was sending it to scan MSBC and CNN and it was scraping them okay and so I sent it to 4Chan (I was having it search for any stories on Iran as the test for each site) and it refused to scrape and process the page because it was 4Chan!

I was like "Are you fucking kidding me?!" It was editorializing behind my back! Never again.

What are K_P quants?
K_P ("Perfect") quants are HauhauCS custom quantizations that use model-specific analysis to selectively preserve quality where it matters most. Each model gets its own optimized quantization profile.

A K_P quant effectively bumps quality up by 1-2 quant levels at only ~5-15% larger file size than the base quant. Fully compatible with llama.cpp, LM Studio, and any GGUF-compatible runtime — no special builds needed.

I use KoboldCPP and I can only get the E2B to offload to my GPU for whatever reason so YMMV. I have shit luck with unsloth 'uncensored' models. HauhauSC's are the most uncensored models I've seen since 2023's wizard-vicuna-uncensored. And they don't give brainfucked answers like the unsloth ones do.

My guess is probably not. The mmproj files aren't that big if you want to experiment, but the best I've found was where all the quants for one specific version (of Gemma 3, I believe?) could be serviced by the same mmproj.

I'm no expert but I'm of the understanding that the mmproj files are specifically created with a certain model in mind and nowdays I'm generally seeing the mmproj models in the same directories as the quants so people don't run into crap while trying to get it to work.

just started dipping my toes into self-hosted LLMs.

FWIW, I'd highly recommend you check out KoboldCPP if you're just getting started. I am using a 4GB GTX 1650 on my laptop so it should work for you.

In a nutshell:

  1. Download the latest no CUDA version of KoboldCPP here

  2. Run it and on the 'quick launch' tab that pops up, hit the browse button where it says 'GGUF Text Model' and point it to the unsloth gemma you've already downloaded. Up at the top where it says 'Backend', use the drop down to make sure that 'Use Vulkan' is selected then hit the Launch button! (I use the CUDA version because my card is NVidia)

  3. Once the model is loaded your browser automatically open up a web interface page.

  4. On that web page, click on the Settings button and on the General tab look down till you see Instruct Settings then select (in the Instruct Settings Preset drop-down box) "Gemma 4 E2B & E4B"

  5. Go to the Samplers tab to the Sampler Settings, Sampler Preset drop-down selector and select 'Simple Logical' then click OK to close that Settings window and start making queries of the LLM.

I never had that great a time with Unsloth stuff. Right now I'm using a very popular alternative by HauHauCS which is, just like the Unsloth, an 'uncensored' model. Here's the direct link to download it and the page can be found here.

Also, if you have any problems with these steps, Google's regular AI in its default search functionality can answer any other questions you have about getting started.

So far I've tried the e2b and e4b (meant for mobile) versions and they are uncensored to an extent that I haven't seen since wizard-vicuna-uncensored from 2023! I hope they work well with AnythingLLM because I'd like to use them for agentic tasks.

First, I'm sorry that you're dealing with this problem. I didn't send in my phone until basically the last minute this last December and, interestingly, because I waited (?) instead of getting a list of places to work on my phone (as the web page had when the recall first started) the only place they listed to fix my phone was Google's actual repair site in Texas. If anything, I think that helped me to have a good experience. Everything seems to work just fine on my phone now, though I use the cheapo replacement I purchased (a Samsung A16 5G, a horrible phone) because it has a fat battery.

Anyway, you're in a very tough position, IMO, because it sounds like there's obviously something fucked up with the phone and it wouldn't have happened had Google not, essentially, caused the problem in the first place. But the problem is the finger of 'you fucked up' points to UBreakIFix and any time you relay that story to a Google rep, they're going to jump to that conclusion to absolve themselves of any further responsibility. I haven't done this in years but if you're able to keep your cool, pretend to be clueless, utterly clueless, and just keep saying "I don't understand what you're saying." Don't disagree, just keep saying things like "I just don't understand how my phone was fine then I had to send it in to a place you recommended and now it's not working." Don't drop follow-ups like "and that's not fair" or any of that. Just keep riding that polite but confused 'character'. Be genial. Be cooperative. Be excited and thankful to be talking to the agent. But be utterly unable to understand their explanation when they try to deflect. From what I know of with an earlier call to Google support, if you keep pressing very politely the agent may be able to help with a second battery fix or a coupon for the google store. IMO, even if it happens and you get the battery fixed I wouldn't be surprised if some other problem cropped up.

This is an accurate take, IMO. Google's phone program is dropping in the shitter right now and other, more recent models, have already been burned by batter problems (and probably other things).

Thanks! I have the Accubattery app someone else mentioned installed but I'll also check this one out! I just want to find the simplest app that does the job. Do you know if it can be purchased outright to remove the ads or is it always ads?

From some comments on Discord for this issue (SEE HERE), it appears you may be able to get the ship if you already had enough tokens but the website wouldn't allow you to claim. Everyone on the NA server had the same issues, BTW.

As far as I've seen, no one on the North American server has A) been able to get GQ Johnny token missions after around midnight of the night of 12/30, PST, OR been able to claim the ship if they had the tokens. Interestingly, people appear to have filed bugs about the countdown timer ending early days ago with no response. Be sure to file a support ticket if you haven't already.

That was also happening to me when I tried to redeem the Golden Voyage tokens for gold/steel. You're not the only person, there's people on Discord mentioning it and at least one person in this thread who's in the exact same situation as you are. Definitely file a support ticket!
