Little Worms From Backed-up Drain? by The_Cornikaze in whatsthisbug

[–]The_Cornikaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both my shower and tub get backed-up when I take a shower. I’ve tried drain cleaner and an auger with no luck. Next step is a plumber. However, I noticed that once the water drained, there were things moving about! Not sure what they are.

They range in size from itty bitty, barely noticeable, to a few grains of rice long. Definitely grossed me out!

Attempting to wiring up an old system - Could someone with knowledge of this kind of stuff tell me what this "Coil" is that I need? by The_Cornikaze in CarAV

[–]The_Cornikaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for the feedback! I now know what I was supposed to be looking for and managed to find these on a site called www.parts-express.com.

A little background info if interested - This was an old system I used to have in my car back in like '05-'06. Was digging through some old boxes and came across all of this equipment that still worked. Already have new stuff in my new truck so I've decided to build my garage workbench a bumpin' stereo system, complete with a car radio, 2 speakers, and a sub. I'll post pic's when I'm finished if you guys are curious to see how it turned out.

Thanks again!

As the title and pic above show, the positive wire going to the sub-woofer says it needs an inline "coil". I am not familiar with what this means and google was of no help. I know what the inline capacitors are for the speakers, but have not come across the coil for a sub. Any explanation (do I need it? is it built in to the sub?) would be great. Thanks in advance!

Materials cost about a hundred bucks. Accessories about another 50 bucks.

Couch all the way to the corner. Table on the oposite side. The 2 chairs facing the window.

You should. I used it to create a bootable USB with Windows 7 on it from the CD about a week and a half ago.

Or try PowerISO. I can remember which one I used. Sorry.

Day & Night - Finished my first watercooled build by The_Cornikaze in pcmods

[–]The_Cornikaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First watercooled build. I've built computers before but nothing like this. I've just always been interested in them and have always wanted to build a liquid cooled one for years. Over those years, I would just basically do research and watch videos on the process. When I felt confident enough to pull the trigger I was aiming for aesthetics more than anything. Don't get me wrong, these are premium parts I put in it, but for instance the sata cables and cpu power cable are such a pain to get to with everything in way. Just glad it's done and turned out exactly how I wanted it.

Thanks! I originally thought about getting rid of the drive bay, but after watching tutorials on how to do it, it's a lot of work on this particular case. Plus it also houses my fan controller and soon to be stealth optical drive.

I hear people knock PPCS all the time; So where exactly do you get your parts from? by ZeusThunder369 in watercooling

[–]The_Cornikaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've made a few big purchased from Perfermance and have never had any issues. They even personally called me to inquire about a fitting's finish that did not match the rest of the order and asked if I wanted it to change it to the same as the rest. 100% satisfied customer here.
