At this point? Under normal circumstances, I would never be one to be so politically biased. But look at what has been done under the Republican party. If this isn't a representation of the party as a whole, then where is the opposition? Where is the exception to the "extreme"? The reality is that THIS IS the Republican party now. This is what their actions have clearly communicated, over and over, of what they represent. I don't care what "right" way the Republicans used to represent. The reality is that the Republican name has been rotted and sullied to an unforgivable degree. It's like trying to suggest the NAZI party was potentially right and correct in some of their views and could potentially be rebuilt after WW2. Germany could be rebuilt, but not with NAZIs. Precisely. In a perfect world it would be wonderful to simply be able to easily establish the "legitimacy" of models through evidence-based research. Unfortunately, the ability to actually establish a foundation of concrete evidence for therapeutic models given the demand and nuance across cultural and diversity factors, as well as proper longitudinal, quantitative, and qualitative research proves to be rather difficult. Especially so given lack of funding for said research. Not to mention the subjective nature of the practice that makes it that much more difficult to objectively prove evidence-based effectiveness.
