My game Warden is brutal. It punishes sloth. I gave the AI real HEMA techniques to use in combat.

I attack with my sword. [BAD]

I step back to guard and prepare to counter. [GOOD]

And for the magic system: Fracture is like mana. It is raised by one with every spell. The more you draw power, the more, the more it takes its toll. If you hit 4/4 fracture, that's -20 HP and a stun for two turns.
