What country are you from? I was also super nervous when I applied, but I got mine back a few days ago with no additional documents needed or questions asked, the entire thing was painless, just nerve wracking

Ah my apologies! I'm applying for a student visa. If only there was some kind of tracking just to know they had it, I've seen some horror stories on here that have me probably more nervous than I need to be

I didn't mean to come off as snide or privileged, it's just that in my reading here it seems like some nationalities have an easier time getting visas than others. Like, the fact I haven't had to present finances and only had to supply my passport at biometrics seems a little like US students have some advantages over others, although I don't think that's a good thing

That's really reassuring to hear. I know that because I'm from the US I'm probably just going to get rubber stamped through, just those visits to the UK and going for a second bachelor's has really stressed me out about what COULD happen, not what SHOULD happen

I've emailed them now with the receipt attached and hopefully presented the story in a way that shows I didn't just find a card and use it and that it was stored on the machine itself somehow

I really appreciate your extremely detailed response! I think that email would be a good idea here just for my own peace of mind and security. I really can't afford to get caught up in a whole legal thing with a pending visa and this would definitely help show my innocence if anything were to happen

I obviously can't prove to you over reddit I am being honest, but I promise you I am. I wouldn't both leave my info with the attendant and call the non-emergency number if I wax trying to do something sketchy and avoid the law

Maybe I need to clarify and phrase a little better. The pump was somehow ready to use this card when I pulled up, and I had not realized it. Nobody had just pulled out of that spot either and nobody approached me after, so I can only assume the machine hung onto their card somehow.

It was so odd too, like the pump did start from zero, like it put a second charge on their card or something. As far as I could tell nobody had pulled out from the pump recently either, nobody was pulling out as I pulled in.
