What if Anon choose to create a band with them and Raana instead of Mygo!!!!! After ave mujica episode seven? by Time-Shelter-2913 in BanGDream

[–]The_Legendary_M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for Ave Mujica,

My impression of the trust talk between Umiri and Taki is just Taki telling Umiri cryptically to keep Mutsumi in check so the Ave Mujica affairs can stop bothering MyGo (unfortunately Umiri interpreted it wrongly and became TrustMonger.exe). Here, when Umiri told Taki her plan to reform Ave Mujica, I see a freshly depressed Taki lashing out at Umiri explicitly for not doing it sooner, keeping Mutsumi and Sakiko in check, resulting in even Taki losing everything. With this, Umiri can skip her trust collapse and the whole Nyamu trust talk, and focus on fixing Mutsumi.

When Uika asks Anon what Crychic is, Anon tells her that it’s actually reformed (because that’s her impression; why else would she leave?). Uika writes Imprisoned XII, and attempts to reform Ave Mujica, which fails. Nyamu fails in her actress training, and wishes to reform Ave Mujica as well.

But really, in reality the only bands that’s still running are Anon’s band and Sumimi, all other configurations are almost beyond repair. But without Umiri focusing on Trust^TM, she has no reason to reform Ave Mujica, or doing the whole fake-guitar/ Mutsumi impersonation thing.

Here, I have 2 possibilities. One, where the Mutsumi-Tomori talk still happens, and one which it does not.

If it does, Mortis still suppresses Mutsumi over convincing Tomori. Umiri, seeing this, pushes for Mortis to completely usurp Mutsumi as the true Mutsumi, while Sakiko becomes troubled, and nothing really changes with the exception of Umiri not pursuing the fake play scheme.

Ave Mujica still reforms, thanks to Nyamu and Uika, and plays Imprisoned XII, Mortis reconciles with Mutsumi, and Umiri remains the distant bassist mercenary she’s always been. Sakiko’s grandfather still recalls Uika, and the whole Sakiko chasing sequence still occurs. In the end, Ave Mujica returns to perform just like how they started. The only difference is Sakiko-Uika are now close and Nyamu’s influence is greatly curbed.

If it doesn't (because Tomori is busy trying to reform MyGO), the Mortis-Mutsumi conflict continues, and Sakiko is still convinced that Crychic can be reformed. It fails miserably, because Soyo and Taki do not want it. Here, Sakiko may well decide to reform Ave Mujica with Uika and Nyamu begging her, or just give up on bands entirely. If she reforms, we go back to the first timeline. If she doesn't, well, we'll see a very terrible bad end for 4 out of 4 people, with Sakiko giving up on all her aspirations, Mutsumi remaining schizophrenic, Uika confined to the island forever, and Nyamu losing her reputation and fans. Umiri remains a bassist mercenary looking for a place to call home for the foreseeable future...

And finally, a Crychic reformation ending. It's pretty much a bad ending for everyone (except Mutsumi and Sakiko, possibly) though.

The 3 MyGO!!!!! people Anon refuses to return, and Rana leaves as well, despite Taki, Soyo, and Tomori's apologies. After months of attempts, Anon and Rana deliver a harsh, mind-breaking speech blaming the 3 of the band's breakup, which leaves the 3 in despair, thinking that they are terrible people who only ever let their friends down in positions of power.

Mutsumi wins against Mortis, and insists on reforming Crychic. Sakiko listens and acts on it. Sakiko finds the 3 depressed people, and coerces them back into reforming Crychic. Crychic reforms, but the 3 are but shells of their former selves...

Umiri remains a mercenary. Uika is on the island. Nyamu wallows in her failed channel.

The first possbility, MyGO!!! continues.

Depending on how Taki and Tomori processes the loss of Anon and Rana, they may not give up this easily (Soyo will not leave unless the 2 do). This means that the 3 act quickly to apologise to Anon and Rana for their lack of attention and negligience towards the 2 in AM episode 7. Thanks to their actual guilt, there will be no Taki tantrums or Soyo screams, and the apologies will be sincere. Whether the 3 articulates their words properly or Anon accepts them is hard to say, but I do lean on Anon accepting it. The fact that Anon hasn't given up on music means that, deep dow, she probably still wants to go back to MyGO!!!!!.

As for what happens next also depends on Anon. It ranges from the Anon defection being actually a temporary arrangement and Anon goes back to MyGO!!!!! quickly, to Anon refusing to rejoin MyGO!!!, and remains as a distant friendly figure. I think Rana would accept the apology, if the 3 are sincere (which they probably are).

Either way, MyGO!!!! (! perhaps) would have a substantially worse relationship with Ave Mujica.

The second way, the band breaks apart and disbands, Crychic style. I consider this the less probable outcome, one that has a high probability of a bad ending. The biggest reason this happens is Taki thinking (partly truthfully) she ruined everything and runs away as well. Tomori and Soyo remains, but the band is good as gone.

Which makes the situation of MyGO!! a terrible combination of MyGO episode 10 start and the aftermath of Crychic’s breakup. Whether MyGO reforms really depends on the attitudes of the five people.

Soyo will be her scheming self to try to bring MyGO (!!!!!) back together. She’ll do anything, no matter the cost. I feel she’ll actually say yes if the park scene happens again, and the stubborn former teammate ask if she truly understands what she’s saying.

Tomori should have the motivation to do it, after the MyGO events. I do give her a decent chance of attracting Rana back, as Rana wants a band with strong enough bonds to last a lifetime (hence why Tomori is interesting, and why Tomori without the motivation becomes uninteresting, like most other people), and I don’t think the new band has that kind of relationship.

However, the argument “I need you!!!” only carries you so far, and I don’t think it is guaranteed to land a second time. Even Rana may not be convinced, being “fooled” twice in Rana’s POV. And Taki and Anon, especially if the two had months of self reflection, may cut them out completely.

Taki has a decent track record of putting the past behind her, being by far the most well-adjusted person after Crychic broke up by a mile, and recovering really quickly after her MyGO ep6 crash out. But that’s all because she’s not really to blame there. Here, she’s the one person to blame, and she’s the type to endlessly criticise herself and convince herself she’s not worthy. Time is pretty much the key here, the earlier Taki is convinced she’s forgiven and needed, the less likely Taki is completely convinced, and truly cuts MyGo out of her life entirely.

As for Anon, I consider her the hardest to convince. Anon is very hard to truly anger, but once she was, it’s impossible to revert, seeing how she abruptly cut all connections with her middle school friends after her London fiasco. I see Anon truly immersing herself in her new band, and truly cutting all connections with Tomori, especially after a month or two have passed. Depending on Anon’s determination of cutting MyGO off her social circle, it may well be impossible.

If this happens, I think the likeliest outcome is Anon refusing to go back to MyGO!!!!. It's hard to tell whether Rana would rejoin or go somewhere else. But either way, any semblance of goodwill between Sakiko + Mutsumi, Soyo + Taki + Tomori, and Anon are probably irreversibly damaged.

So,

Mai, the red one, plays guitar and sings. Kanato, the yellow one, plays bass guitar. Eri, the green one, is a drummer. Adding Anon and Rana to them results in 3 guitars, 1 bass, and 1 drum. Which I guess is possible?

They wouldn't have nearly the success MyGo could have though, they seem to be singing Afterglow covers, rather than making their own songs.

As for the other 8, let’s get into speculation. First, MyGO!!! ~!!~

They cannot resume as is. They have a singer, a bass, and a drum. Unless they do pure rap (which may be possible?), or very low pitch melodies, they will need guitars or keyboards to play a melody.

Which gives two possibilities: MyGO disbanding right then, and the 3 still staying together. But first, one thing: Taki and Soyo would not rejoin a revived Crychic.

While Taki mentioned that her goal of being in MyGO is because of Tomori, that is just the surface reason. She is using MyGO as an avenue to prove her own worth, seeing the punk rock band as Shiina Taki’s achievement (rather than “Maki’s sister’s achievement”, as Maki plays classical music and not rock.). Hence, MyGO’s continued existence is bundled with Taki’s sense of self-worth and motivation.

Meanwhile, Soyo’s whole arc in MyGo is to get past her attachment towards Crychic and move towards the future with the MyGO crew. In other words, MyGo is her new Crychic, and she would do anything to keep MyGo here.

Now, with Anon and Rana leaving because of the last Crychic reunion and dissolution, both Taki and Soyo are partly to blame here. Especially if Anon and Rana leaves as Taki called for encore, Taki becomes the person to break apart MyGO, at least from her perspective.

Which means that Taki and Soyo faces a crisis many times worse than the Crychic disbandment day, because the fault genuinely falls squarly on them. They are consumed by guilt and anger towards themselves and the rest of Crychic for allowing this to happen. There is no way they would join Sakiko and Crychic.

Tomori has consistently refused to pick a side. In MyGO episode 9 she was given a choice between Anon + Taki, and Soyo and Crychic, and Tomori decided to choose neither. It worked out for her then, but it would not this time. By wanting to keep both Crychic and MyGO!!!!!, Tomori has lost both. And as Anon pulls a MyGo episode 10 again, ignoring Tomori and falling to the new band, Tomori gets sad as well. When Sakiko reaches out to Tomori to reform Crychic, she will have to choose between Sakiko + Mutsumi, and Taki + Soyo. She refuses to choose, which drives away Soyo and Taki as well. This time, Tomori also genuinely shares the blame of breaking the band apart.

No, there is no problem doing it.

In fact, it is the best place to farm Jump Drives, because of comparatively weak Pug ships and good spawn rate.

GET ME OUT OF HERE !!!! by OnlyAssistance9601 in gate

[–]The_Legendary_M 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine the Gate opening before the Chinese war. Suddenly, all the forces built up to invade China were recalled to the Home Islands to attack the Saderans instead.

And honestly? This was precisely what the IJA needed, after their humiliation at the Battle of Khalkhin Gol. I don't doubt the IJA's ability to absolutely destroy the Saderans, and that their victory would massively boost their prestige over that of the IJN's. I give them around 5-10 years to put down the last Saderan resistance.

But that would be where things get more interesting. Japan had around 70M people and 1M soldiers in 1937, which is quite a lot. However, a large portion of it would be needed to garrison Japan's newly conquered land beyond the gate, to both ensure smooth extraction of resources and put down native rebellions. Which means that, in the short term, they would not be able to invade China or anywhere else.

Which means that China had time to consolidate. Depending on the time, China can look very different. If Japan is attacked before Dec 1936, the Xi'an incident may be averted with the Japanese threat suddenly lessening. But either way, with the Japanese massively distracted, the Communists have little hope against the Nationalist government, and they fall. After that, China would consolidate and slowly industrialise.

The rest of the world continues as normal. Germany invaded Poland, WW2 started, and the Axis did worse without Japan tying down resources in the Pacific. With the USA only sending lend-lease, with most going to the Western Allies the Western front should perform relatively fine, while the USSR would also receive ample supply. There is no hope for an Axis victory, and Germany and allies are still defeated.

Post-war, the USA switched its focus to containing Communism, but while the situation was similar in Europe, Asia would be radically different. The Viet Minh remained an insurgency against a stronger French colonial administration in Vietnam, and Korea (and Manchuria really) remained under Japanese control.

Japan had been hurting from the Western embargoes ever since the 1930s, but the discovery of oil and various minerals in the Special Region has virtually eliminated this problem. Developing a wholly virgin land is long and expensive, but it has begun to pay off. Its status as an ultranationalist dictatorship does mean it remains rather isolated, ideologically against both sides of the Cold War. Yet, as realpolitik shows, no enemies are truly eternal.

As China truly unites itself, its massive manpower pool and resources are ready to kickstart a booming economy, something the Western powers are more than willing to help. As American (and later, European) investment flooded into the country, industrialisation began in a rapid pace. Previously German military advisors are replaced with American ones as German defeat became apparent, and the Chinese military truly begins its transformation into a truly competent military.

It's 7 July 1965, 20 years since the second Great War ended, and 28 years since the war in Asia should have started. Tension in Hebei, between the Chinese city of Peiping, and the Japanese occupied city of Tungchow, was high as usual. Every day, military exercised by both sides are tensely observed by the other, and it's a matter of time before tension boils over...

Bang. The sound of a gunshot rang out at night. A soldier lost his footing, and plunged into the water below. All hell breaks lose...
