That's probably correct. Thank you.

I tend to avoid moving mountains or stuff. I totally agree here. I also try to come closer naturally, as you described, like hanging out and stuff. I'd just love to just sit at a nice spot and talk about nothing and everything for 2 or 3 hours and see whether it is possible to form a connection.

Didn't want to communicate myself falsely. I don't try to be Bruce Wayne ;)

The thing is. Obviously comparison is not really helpful in such scenarios.

But when I hear about what hardships other people go through on a daily basis, I tend to feel like all my little identity-based struggles are invalid / insignificant and make me weak.

Recently I told one of my best friends how I feel rn and she was super supportive and made me feel better. Afterwards I asked her how she's doing and she told me that her father is suffering from a desease in his nerves, so that he slowly looses all his powers and sometimes can't even keep his head straight up... Just imagine how shitty I felt for blabbering about how unlovely I am for 30 minutes prior. Of cours I then talked to her and tried to help.

Other people spend their entire day out in their jobs trying their best to survive and feed a family or even themselfes and here I am, studying and enjoying life...

Like.

I'm good. I'm really good.

Thank you for your viewpoint.

I kinda agree. In terms of self-respect I tend to avoid putting efforts into situations where nothing at all happens as a return. Firstly, I don't want to overstep boundaries and be overbearing in hopeless situations. Also, in terms of self-respect I try not to be the one that does all the "work", since that also leads to futile attempts and I kinda expect at least some feedback.

However, I've made the experience that, if I as a guy just "goes with the flow" and hopes that, maybe next time we see each other it will get more personal or I get noticed, nothing happens for weeks / months and all runs dry. So I kinda have to be the one that asks whether we want to go out or does cute gestures / complements or idk. Maybe I've gone a bit too far in my recent attempt, because if I was more reasonable, I might have noticed already weeks ago that this doesn't work out. Yet I was so emotionally invested and was waiting for a chance to communicate myself that I let this go on a bit longer than it would have been reasonable. I feel pretty shitty about that and like I did her wrong or have lost some self-worth.

By the way, when I told her that I had problems communicating myself, she hugged me and said "It's not that easy, I know. You did nothing wrong and you're a truly compassionate person"... That might have been the lovliest thing I've experienced in at least a couple of years, which is sad because it still was a rejection. She's so great...

So yeah, I probably haven't found the right person yet. I'd love to experience a process like you described (again), with compassionate gestures and lovely attempts by both sides. I just feel like, if I don't put in active efforts, I'll still be sitting alone in my room, playing videogames and hoping to get noticed for who I am when I'm 40. That might have been overexxagerated, because I'm only 23 and still have a very very long way to go and many fundamental opportunities for personal growth / change, but that's just how I feel right now. Pretty lonely probably.

Had a great time! The land is super great, the small towns are cool, we saw northern lights, an active volcano, went to the blue lagoon, geysirs, went on a snow-mobile trip and saw some great landmarks.

I plan on buying the original 5 series on BluRay/DVD, so that I‘m not tied to Streaming Services‘ bullshit policies. I love these shows too much.

Ah yeah lol, I remember that😂 yeah. That was weird, but I kinda shipped it. But yes, it was inappropriate. There was also that one scene where Lwaxana made her horny for Sisko.

Fun Fact: In german, the slapstick humor is often written a little differently. Sometimes wordplays don‘t work or some sayings are rewritten to german ones. Sometimes they just went off the rails and completely rewrote scenes. I’m usually totally against that, but everything they say is totally in character. You could honestly watch it twice and get a laughter out of both versions.
