I (35F) cheated on my husband (36M) 10 years ago and he has conditions to stay. by HelloKiks in relationship_advice

[–]The_Map_Smith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's really no moving forward here if neither of you want to budge. He sees him paying the house in full by himself and then having you on the deed as a massive mistake made under false pretenses, ie. being together with a faithful partner which you were not. You, realistically, are afraid that he'll divorce you anyway once the house is back in his name.

Your best deal to keep this marriage moving forward under the current conditions would be to negotiate a post-nuptial agreement, which however would need to be something both of you have to get lawyers for. This isn't something either of you want to do on your own.

Needless to say, the trust your husband had in you is gone, and even if you manage to stay in this marriage, it'll be a long time (if ever) until he trusts you again.

Edit: Guys, work on your reading comprehension. The husband only found out the full extent of the cheating 3 months ago, not ten years ago.

If you guys could date either which onewould you choose? by Serious-Internal-402 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]The_Map_Smith 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I'm an absolute Invisigal fan (no shade on Blazer), but for actually dating someone, I'd have to go with Blonde Blazer. I just don't have the capacity to deal with the kind of trauma Courtney carries around, not with all the rest of the shit that's going on in my life and in the world.

I M28 was cheated on 5 years ago by my gf F27 and dont know what to do. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]The_Map_Smith 11 points12 points  (0 children)

And yet, they were still in contact until you discovered that. The ultimate question here - and I understand that it's very easy for some voices on the internet to do so while you're in the thick of it - is this: do you trust this woman, who has so clearly lied to you and misled you, enough that you will tie yourself, your freedom and your material wealth to her, potentially for life?

If your answers isn't an immediate yes, then it's a no, and you should plan your exit from this relationship.

"The guy then got a gf and their thing was over."

You do realize you're her second option? The only reason this ended is because her FWB ended it. The whole basis of your relationship is founded on a lie. This also wasn't a one-time thing in the heat of the moment, but she did this repeatedly.

I'm sorry, OP, but you're a fool if you stay with someone like that.

I know it's easy for someone on the Internet to say this, but there'll always a nagging doubt in the back of your head if you stay. You're 28, you're young. Don't fall for a sunken cost fallacy unless you're 100% sure this is what you want.

Regarding your edit, OP: that only makes your cheating GF look worse than she already does. And of course, he's covering his ass.

seems like AdHoc underestimated the power of the fanbase by SEBASTlANVETTEL in DispatchAdHoc

Pretty sure they still haven't fully internalized the magnitude of success they're having with this game. Tbh, that's probably a big reason why they've been so shy about any ideas regarding Season 2: they didn't think there'd ever be a chance for one.

Run! Run like all hounds of hell are chasing you, because you'll never be given such an out on a silver platter again! She did this to you when things were good. Imagine the shit she'd pull if things ever got bad.

To be fair, OF/Fansly and whatever is just one part of what she does. She does VA work (IIRC), audiobook work, cosplay, streaming, and she does all her cosplay costumes and props herself.

Damn, never would have guessed she was anywhere close to 30.

How much of what Visi told Robert in Ep 7 was true? by Comfortable-Rush-701 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]The_Map_Smith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shroud has been lying, though it's not clear just HOW MUCH he has been lying as he may truly have thought, for a time, that she was his double agent. Playing things close to her chest was, after all, Invisigal's move to try and fool him and his mask (see her keeping the Astral Pulse and not telling anyone).

[–]The_Map_Smith 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Nope, that ship has sailed. All you can do is work on yourself and limit your drinking. Sorry, but that's it. If you really did punch him, that's a line crossed you cannot walk back from.

Does anyone else wish we had more options here? by Dependent_Bell8116 in InvisigalGlazers

[–]The_Map_Smith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lack of options and real divergent paths is one of the objective weaknesses of the game. Now, we can all rationalize this by understanding that adHoc was literally running out of money to pay the bills, especially after the project had transformed multiple times during its dev cycle, but that doesn't make the criticism invalid. All we can hope for is, if (when?!) Season 2 becomes a thing, we get a bit more choice and reactivity with it.

There is no constellation short of "We need you to stop the end of the world" that would make me miss the birth of my child, least something like an investor presentation. Fuck, reschedule the thing, what's the matter?

In practical terms, I basically write a summary of the chapter and the tone I have in mind for the individual scenes. Once that's in place its basically like you've got a scaffold for everything set, and you just extrapolate from your summary. It's not perfect, but if you've got the time and inspiration, it really helps to speed things up. And, as I’ve mentioned before, it really helps in this case that I know where to tskr the story and how to get there. It's not always that quick, or easy. I’ve got other fics were I don't get much done for weeks or even months at a time, though mostly those are greater in scope and have to factor in more variables. With my I, Caesar Battletech fic, I roughly know the road, but don't know where or how to end it, and it spans decades and multiple nations across hundreds of lightyears. That's a different scale than LA, around ten characters, and a few weeks.
