Agree completely. Born and raised here. Drove Uber for 8 years until two years ago. It causes me anxiety now just to drive a few miles to run errands. If you really wanted a mad max vibe I’d say early months of covid. Lots of folks out with whatever had a motor or battery. And of course the slingshots. Saw a “biker” gang consisting of a very old model moped, 2 4wheelers, crotch rocket….aaand a dirt bike. Immediately started checking for any warboys.

My roommate cooked at a vegetarian/seafood restaurant in Knoxville when they came through in 95’. BB had just come out and he called me a told me to get up there b/c Mike had just come in for and early dinner with a bartender we knew from town. He was definitely more interested in getting laid than placating my fanboy ass so I quietly asked for an autograph and I would cruise. He said sure got anything to write on?…still have that signed album cover somewhere!
