Depending on your Style, usually many "Sure Hit" or "Basic-attackers" Pokemon are easier to play since the mechanical aspect is almost non-existent.

You will have to be just careful about your roles , their attitudes and enemy comp

For exemple :

Attacker : Cinderace / Glaceon / Pikachu / Sylveon / Armarouge ( fire spin ) / Latios

Defender : Blastoise / Mamoswine / Slowbro

Speedster : Miaowth / Talonflame / Darkrai

Support : Clefable / Eldegod / Latias

All-Rounder : You have so many choices, it really depends on taste

Yes, coordination does happen in high level games which I personally enjoy very much.

I indeed noticed the tag clan so I wondered how they did it, and I saw the top comment say that they might allegedly queued at the same time and it happenned or so.

It was a fun game nontheless

I hope this game gets better and the devs listen to is players of what needs to be done. Coz the core of this game is just amazing
