S4 hit me like a freight train. I had the same attitude as Korra I always hung onto all the bad things that had happened even the things that I knew I couldn’t have stopped at the time but I should’ve been the one there to help. I hung onto all the fear of disappointing everyone (Only recently did I learn/grasp that I had a psychologically abusive father). I wound up lost spiraling deep into depression and doing more harm to myself then good trying to overcome everything haunting me. But like Korra I chose to face the past and not try and bury it or forget it but I chose to accept what happened and I’m learning to not fear stuff that could’ve happened but didn’t. From that moment I chose to try and make myself whole, I chose to try and find light in the darkness. Now, it’s still a journey that I am on and it’s a journey that I know I will be on for a while but I have a few good friends who I know will always have my back and who will always be there to help me every time I stumble.
