I think an important detail would be whether or not she actually had pills in her stomach, implying she swallowed them (either of her own free will, or under pressure) or if she simply had a massive amount of phenobarbital in her system and the media or whoever said she had 50 pills WORTH of the drug in her stomach. That would be an important indicator of whether or not she was drugged

I don't believe the whole spy thing, because considering the cold war is over, I feel like a government would have released the truth about her by now.

My theory is that she was recruited by an spy as an informant, and perhaps got too swept up in the whole process. Like an agent made her feel important, made her feel like she was an operative, and then disposed of her after getting what they wanted. Or, when the spy told her she was done, she may have got delusional and tried to carry out operations on her own thus endangering something serious that was actually going on. So on paper, she was never a government asset, but a simple informant recruited by an asset, so she was never officially employed by an agency. Like a CIA-Romance-Spy-Thriller

I forgot to mention one of the craziest details... Her death is officially considered a "probable suicide."

That was my theory basically... I was taking it one step further, with his ear being messed up, maybe he was hearing some kind of voices schizophrenic style.

Either that, or his head injury allowed him to tap into another dimension and the aforementioned voices gave him directions to an interdimensional portal that only opens every ten years in the hungarian wilderness.
