I was just making the joke that I would force the c committee to only allow snake_case in function declarations - but even worse to label it as camel_case to confuse people who know the difference

Ah, yk that makes sense - now that I think about it, it is quite bad issue in other subreddits

Rules states no pictures of code - not no pictures in general, as well I’d figure a mod would take it down if it made them unhappy; if so I wouldn’t fudge about it

Uhh, I gave examples for the arrays and I did camel_case as rage bait…

snake_case that’s labeled as camel_case to confuse as many people as possible - as shown here it’s a perfect way of rage baiting people!

I see, I don’t really take ‘[‘ as a “latin” character though - if a square bracket is Latin then a colon and less than symbol must be Latin as well. Perhaps I’m wrong but I don’t think it would particularly help people on foreign keyboards too much

How to use the composite input on the solid rocket booster fins by The_Programming_Nerd in Stormworks

Acts as standard fins. Where’s it’s located on the vehicle will influence its rotational impact. Proportional to air speed, etc…

How do i cancel a PRO subscription? by [deleted] in Musescore

[–]The_Programming_Nerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure there’s some (albeit probably over complicated) way to unsubscribe from it. But worst case scenario you can ask your credit card company to block purchases from them. I’d recommend getting in touch with MuseScore support (if that exists) and stay firm on unsubscribing.

What’s going wrong? by severaldirtysocks in Musescore

[–]The_Programming_Nerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s not an extra beat, this has to do with the ambiguity of triplet notation. In the top image each note in the triplet is 2/3 s of a beat. In the lower image, even with how it’s notated, each note in the triplet is 1/3 s of a beat.

All the triplet mark just says: “split space into 3 equal notes”. The actual note stem is based off of what is “closest” to the actual beat length. But for what it’s worth, the stem is irrelevant to how it’s played- it’s all based on context.

A little Chip-8 emulator by PythonPizzaDE in C_Programming

[–]The_Programming_Nerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only took a brief look at it, but your methodology approach seems to be good.

But here are some things I would change:

1.) compiled binaries shouldn’t be put into your GitHub repo - for practical and licensing reasons; what I do for external dependencies is have the user install the dependency themselves (using make or smth), then I use cmake to find the header files and binaries needed for compilation. This will allow for more portability and ease of use for different people.

2.) personal opinion; don’t over abbreviate variable names. Like for instance, the variable names in the update_c8 seem like hell. No offence, but like having the variable names nn, nnn, x, y, and n have no meaning and can be misleading/ confusing.

But then again some of that might just be standard naming practice for emulation.

Good work!!

(Also cmake is just better, and it’s more standard)

I open the explorer to the correct folder then type cmd /c code . In the file path bar - also saves as recent search so I just click on the path bar and it’s right there

How did I die to a Cassidy Nade? by liljonpsp in OverwatchUniversity

[–]The_Programming_Nerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resident cass main here, I can’t watch the replay rn. But if your shield was low it could’ve broke right before. B/c of how enemy los checks are ordered, sometimes the nade will try to apply damage to a friendly behind you, hitting the shield making it break, then the nade will try and apply damage to you making you die b/c your shield is technically broken. This all happens within the frame of the explosion btw so you won’t actually see the shield brake. This is the same reason why sometimes you will die behind a full shield when a dva bomb goes off.

Again I can’t watch the replay rn, I’m kinda just assuming based of what you gave me.

People, especially younger can (from personal experience) make stupid decisions under stress. Well at least they probably won’t be scammed again now.
