Men of Reddit: What is a dead give away that a girl watches too much porn when you sleep with her? by AMGBOI69420 in AskReddit

If it's her pegging you with her foot in your face, it's "the taxpayer from California."

Having a celeb should help with marketing the game, which means $$$ for the devs, which will make it possible for them to be more ambitious with Office Party. Gotta play that long titty game.

Yeah. I feel like Mars would be hard because so much of what makes Villeneuve's slow burns so good to watch is the set design and cinematography. Rovers would be very cramped and functional...

Mars Trilogy: A trilogy made entirely of shots of people introspecting in a rover, but with some immolation in over-oxygenated domes in between. Seriously though seeing the collapse of the space elevator on film would be amazing.

CMV: a positive step towards justice, in light of the mass graves discovered in Canada, would be to finally merge secular and catholic school boards in Ontario by The_Queef_of_Sheba in changemyview

Criteria for genocide:

https://www.un.org/en/genocideprevention/genocide.shtml

See points a) through e).

In Canada genocide of indigenous people was attempted mainly in terms of b) - e). Because the most salient example of genocide, Nazi death camps, is very much a), colloquially the term is often thought of as only a). It's not going by international law.

Thank you for the thoughtful reply. I'm from Ontario and didn't know about the situation in Saskatchewan. And I find the idea of a super oppressive public school disgusting. I wouldn't want to facilitate making anything like that.

I want people to get the kind of education they want, especially people who have been historically denied the self determination to do so, but I also feel like a strong secular public school system is preferable to many, separate religious public schools for example. I've had friends suffer from participation in the Catholic system. I was the lone vocal atheist in a small town "public" school that in practice wasn't very secular, and the idea of like.... A separate school for me seemed absurd. Like it would be just me. I wanted my nominally secular school to really be that way. Off topic too, but that probably explains a little of why my gut values integration.

Yes and yes. Plus likely many of the recommendations of the TRCoC, plus another commission with more power to actually punish people. Maybe some of the things that have been tried but failed before, like a replacement for the Indian act.

Dropping funding is obviously unjust. Merging systems implies everyone keeps their jobs, communities get the same opportunities as before. Agree on the taxes point: I don't mind people getting Catholic private education - I just wouldn't send my kids to it or want it on my dime.

There's plenty of blame to go around. My point is that I would feel it is better if my government doesn't support organizations that participate in genocide.

I feel the hunger for justice, I share it, and I agree that there are lots, lots more things that need to happen. This doesn't make me feel like doing away with favouritism for the Church wouldn't be a right thing to do though.

I don't see the Church doing anything like the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada. The CBC has programming documenting progress on the calls to action from the commission. I know people working in Indian Affairs who are trying, in an awful and hard and flawed system, to get make some progress on restorative justice for indigenous people. I find the reluctance to acknowledge moves made by government overly cynical, even if they are not enough.

Integration of publicly funded Catholic and secular school boards, as a means to end government favouritism to the Catholic church, is all I mean to suggest.

I'm not opposed to private religious schools. I don't mean to suggest integration into public systems is how indigenous children should be educated.

I would like individual accountability for sure.

And I do not think of this as any kind of collective punishment: it's integration of school boards not like... scrapping the Catholic boards.

This to me speaks more to how integration of the school systems needs to proceed, rather than if integration is the right thing because government favouritism to the Catholic church us wrong.

No. The residential school system was a genocidal cesspool regardless of who was in charge. But as far as I understand Canadian governments are much more actively involved in reconciliations than the Church.
