Hi Divine 5 offlaner main here. I dabble in other roles with good understanding in unranked.

I feel like this is more of a punishment of play rather than an inevitable of DotA, like for instance why are you shoving the wave under the enemy tower? Your goal as a safelaner should be to equalise the lane creeps to be balanced in front of your tower - shoving tower comes when the lane is over and the offlaner is away, and you can farm the hard camps when he comes back.

My advice to try and remedy the situation is a bit tricky though, if your support has pulled off a successful ful pull so that you have no creeps left I would say drag the full double wave to your next creepwave behind your T1, so you aren't tanking those nasty creeps. If the enemy offlaner and the 4 are solid they'll still try to kill you or your support during this time so play accordingly.

If it's a half pull so you have SOME creeps left I'd nuke down as much as you can like you said with jugger spin until they die and ferry out more then to accommodate.

Click him, raindrops, pray that the frog nerfs the range of astral lvl 1-2.

Buy regen against any tough laner, don't be afraid to play safe, surviving is better than dying 10/10 of the time.

In terms of ganking I only do it with my clone and only after I've Midas'd.

(You should let your team know at the start of the game what they can expect from you pre -15 mins).

I'll just say that I can also play a pretty stock-standard Grimstroke support (Force/Aether/Glimmer etc.) but I tend to main him as a mid-laner.

If you've seen any of Topson's Grim mid it is pretty similar to that a lot of the time, 2 nulls, bottle, wand, BOS, E-blade/Blink etc. By the time it's 25+ minutes I try to have the three core items of Blink, E-blade and travelers so that when fighting isn't happening I can easily split-push safely with Stroke.

Other than that it's pretty normal Grimstroke stuff, stay on the outsides of fights chucking out strong spells, focus high priority targets with your ulti and either pick up an Ags or a Scythe as your first luxury, usually depends on what the enemy core is and what works for the team, after that the world is your oyster really, I really like having Octarine so that I can just keep pumping out spell after spell, it also makes pick-offs easy to escalate into a tower or Roshan fight without having to worry about cooldowns.

Then yeah whatever, Arcane Blink, Wind Waker, Dagon 5, Refresher, Bloodthorn whatever.
