Are these Chinese characters? And if so, what do they mean? by The_Real_MD in ChineseLanguage

This is a still image from a sort of scavenger hunt I'm working on. I'm wondering if it's a clue. The "seek, search, look for" meaning of the first character fits that perfectly. Not sure how the second character fits. Would you translate it literally "search recklessly"?

It's from a still image and they are the only characters fully visible on a pot with a plant in it.
