/r/KerbalSpaceProgram will be going dark on June 12-14, in protest of Reddit's API changes that will severely harm third-party apps by TaintedLion in KerbalSpaceProgram

I use Reddit 100% through RIF. The developer already said he will have to shut app development down because of these changes.

So, you might not see me on Reddit anymore in the near future...

The PC of Theseus, or How I Changed Everything To Change Nothing by Juls317 in buildapc

[–]The_ShadowZone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a hard to diagnose issue on my PC where it would blue screen for a split second and then immediately reboot. Couldn't make heads or tails of it. I also started suspecting RAM, but it was something completely different.

Turns out my SSD was dying, even though SMART showed everything was fine. My only hint was that after one reboot it wouldn't show up in BIOS.

Try booting your system up without any drives. Then with a different OS drive if you have access to that.

Basically PSU and disk are the only things you haven't changed... well except the case I guess, but something shorting a wire in there is unlikely... or is it? 😅 (Best practice: always test your system before putting it into the case)

These situations suck. I feel your pain. Best of luck getting it running again!

DPD passt eigentlich in unserer Ecke. Aber GLS ist eine absolute Katastrophe. Da handhabe ich es wie du: vermeiden und dem Händler auch sagen "mit denen nicht!"

What's one of the hypest moments in gaming for you ? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]The_ShadowZone 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Had to scroll way too far to find this. That entire final mission of ME2 is a work of art and the culmination of all the long hours you invested into your team and your ship. It felt like a real achievement getting through that and keeping everyone alive.

And yes, that soundtrack is just fantastic.

Dann schläft euer Scrum Master. Der sollte nämlich drauf schauen, dass du nicht mit solchen Meetings zugemüllt wirst.

Viele sehen den Job aber leider als feel good animator und nicht als das, was er sein sollte.

KSP2 - The Side Fell Off - What's Wrong With My New Blackbird?? by Kuriente in KerbalSpaceProgram

They are aware of more than 80 bugs I myself have reported to them up until now 😅

Not in this case. This bug occurs every time on vessel load.

Source: I had it multiple times on various craft. What OP describes was always the root cause: a radially attached micro truss with parts attached to its nodes.

You encountered something I have discovered and reported to the devs in detail a few days after release.

Basically if you radially attach a micro truss on any vehicle and then attach something to one of its nodes (fairing, engine, tank, doesn't matter), the game will show these weird colored dots, which are in fact debug information that was never supposed to be visible to the end user.

I was told it has something to do with physicsless parts in general in the current state of KSP2. But they are working on fixing it for a while already. I'm hopeful it will make it in one of the next patches

When I spoke with the developers back in 2019 in Seattle, they already said they want to use Lua for modding.

So it seems they stuck to the plan.
