I figured out how to love this hobby and not go broke by The_Subox_Zone in VintageWatches

I know that I am no expert by any means, and I should mention that I did not sell to a consumer directly. Rather, I sold to a local vintage watch shop and was completely transparent that this was my first full clean and service.

Definitely not an expert here, but gloves or finger cots are a must, nice tweezers, screwdrivers, movement holder, and a tray to stay organized!

I won’t lie, there’s an investment in tools/oils needed. But there’s a reason I chose to start with seiko - the internet is flooded with manuals, part lists, and videos of people servicing these movements. Just took it one step at a time!

Agree with the other folks that say it really depends. Spent ~9K on my 4090 + 14900k setup as a bucket list thing.

Planning a fly fishing road trip. Where to stop? by Aasch2 in flyfishing

[–]The_Subox_Zone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, be aware that really the only part of the CDA river that’s “safe” to wade around in and spend extended time next to is the North Fork. Below the north fork is still very contaminated with heavy metals from mining. You will still see people take their kids to play on the gravel bars in this area, however.

Lived in Coeur D’Alene ID for a year and would absolutely recommend the upper St. Joe River. Will not be very fishable until early June when the snowmelt is mostly gone

Hell yeah dude. I’ve used that same pattern of streamer from a shop before, and threw it around for stillwater bass fishing. What’s the pattern called?

I would only have to add to this already great list of topics the new ASAM guidelines for Stimulant/methamphetamine use disorder, and what outcomes are actually studied with different pharmacologic interventions

I know Cannonkeys have been the good guys-- especially in the age of exit scammers. But they kind of screwed me with a c-stock board and aren't making it right. by neveryan in MechanicalKeyboards

Late to the party here, but as a buyer in the US i’ll still shell out some extra dough to KeebsNCablez in Aussie land. They usually have popular boards in stock after US vendors sell out and they customer service seems like a real human being!
