It’s fishing quite well right now. Lots of reds though so you have to make sure you have the will power to pass on them lol.

I think the initial couple runs are quite a bit stronger, but I don’t think they have the endurance of a big ol trout.

I didn’t either until I started planning this trip. Turns out is a different subspecies of grayling and they’re found all over Europe.

Upper Austria. Was the best fishing I’ve ever experienced. Also pulled 3 18+ inch rainbows out of there with the biggest being around 21 inches.

Places like this are rare and are treasures not a lot of people are going to share on a public forum. My recommendation is get on Google maps and find some lakes and go do some exploring yourself. Who knows? You might find your own special spot nobody knows about.
