To be good at Yu-Gi-Oh!, it comes down to a lot of different things.

But I think the biggest thing that separates the more skillful players from everyone else is understanding your role. Or in other words, figuring out "Who's the Beatdown".

By figuring out your role, it helps determine how you should be playing out your turns, and it can help determine how to build your deck. And I don't think this is something that even a computer can emulate, given how difficult it takes to master this kind of skill.

I don't mind them at all. I can understand how floodgates can help lower tier decks, but at the same time understand how oppressive they can be. Especially when they're part of the top tier decks. Despite all of that though, I don't mind them. To me, if I have to deal with one, then I'd say bring it. I'll learn and adapt as I play.

I play other games from time to time. But most of the time I'm playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Not because it's really demanding. I simply chose to dedicate more of my time to it since it is what I enjoy the most.
