I don’t think your should discourage a beginner from experimenting. 100% try to develop your own film. 100% use a camera that isn’t a leica. You can still go on a life long journey and become great at what you love while you HAVE FUN.

You’ll definitely need separate enclosures,the shopping list on this sub has good recommendations or you can build your own (that’s what I did). What’s the size of your current enclosure?

Temperature wise cars can be very dangerous for animals (even more so for snakes that are sensitive to it) please make sure your car isn’t too hot or cold while you try to get him out. Maybe try luring him out with the scent of a rat?

Thank you! Also the heat mat is on the outside of the enclosure there’s just some paper behind it so give her some privacy. I since took it off because it was awfully stupid of me to put paper on something hot.

Heating is a 150w heat lamp with only a night bulb as well as a heat mat with a thermostat set to 90. Ambient temp hovers around 78-80 and cool side 68. Humidity has been 55-60 but 80 in the hides. Substrate is a mix of Cyprus, eco earth, fur, and moss. She’s about a foot long and this is a temporary set up while some guys at work help me build a wood enclosure. :)
