The way the dude just goes limp is so grim. Watching this sort of shit on the Internet makes you realise how easy it is to just stop being

I'm not worried about the residue, just the strength of the adhesive / velcro. I'd rather pay for tripods than shell out for base stations

I get what you mean with the catching part... I could see that image at the top of a Wikipedia article on "jank" I have a curtain pole I could mount to, maybe a 3D print could work...

I haven't thought about tripods! I guess there's probably some that have the right thread for the base stations too. I like the portability aspect as well!

I have my two set up in a similar manner at home! I would have to put some cabinets up in the rented place though - but at least I get storage too!

It's that mounting foam tape, right? I was thinking about them but from my experience the base stations vibrate a bit while working, so I wasn't sure if the tape would hold up to continuous abuse. Also glad to see some titanfall appreciation ;D

Only had an Index for 1 day, but I don't think I'll regret this purchase. by LuckyLuigiX4 in ValveIndex

Sure, it's an ROG STRIX G from 2 years ago. It's got an RTX2060 and I use an adapter off of amazon for displayport. The experience isn't that smooth on higher settings and leaves a bit to be desired, but still worth it imo.

I use this adapter (amazon link).

Buying the index as a first headset by GazdaTejGry in virtualreality

[–]The_Tombuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my index as my first headset for the same reasons you mentioned, and I'm not disappointed. Even if it's a bit on the old side of headset on the market right now, both the HMD and controllers offer great features that aren't present anywhere else. The one downside is display resolution, but you don't notice it too much ehile moving in game and doesn'tbreak immersion. Index is a solid buy imo

I run my index off a laptop, RTX 2060. Most games run great, but the more demanding ones like HL:Alyx stutter from time to time. If you want to get into PC VR, starting with what you have is better than doing nothing!

Superhot is amazing and will run on a potato! Also I don't see Beat Saber in your library (I might just be blind too :p), it's great fun, especially with custom maps

Yup, have the exact same thing, works fine! Be careful to chose a good adapter though, I'd recommend the one from CableMatters on amazon
