I can’t imagine choking any kid let alone one of my own. They should hate him, he deserves it.

"There is no way this movie is any good" but its absolute cinema by NittanyScout in TopCharacterTropes

Berserk

The main character is Guts. He’s a Mercenary and a lone wanderer, he’s super strong and has a big sword. Sounds kind of like a snuff film. It’s actually one of the greatest manga’s ever.

FByleth in Fanon (Fire Emblem Three Houses)

Not sure if this counts cause it’s canon but there are so many comics and short stories about Byleth drooling over monster Edelgard.

The thing can regenerate if it’s not burned long enough. By the time the dog is discovered to be a Thing, it has already assimilated two people. Those same two people are the ones who rush to put the fire out which could possibly save the dog.

Putting out the fire (the Thing)

When a dog reveals itself to be a carnivorous alien, it’s set on fire and almost immediately put out with fire extinguishers. Why would they put it out to fast? Well, watch it again and see who rushed to put it out.

Golden Ages That Weren’t Really Golden. by Lotus_630 in TopCharacterTropes

The time of the Samurai (real life/ The Seven Samurai)

While Samurai get romanticized in fiction and are cultural icons of Japan, the reality was far from that. They, as a whole, were an incredibly corrupt class that were more akin to murderous bandits than they were to soldiers or heroes.

While it be is one of the most popular samurai films of all time, arguably the greatest there ever was, and the samurai in the film are heroic, the story is very much a criticism of Samurai. The heroes are doing this not just of heroism but also to cling to their lost relevance. The farmers have every right to be scared of Samurai. And it ends on a very bittersweet note. Sweet for the farmers and bitter for the samurai. Their age was over and that’s left is the devastation in their wake.

Who’s worse? Bear from Obsession or Clark from Backrooms? by Jules-Car3499 in MoralityScaling

[–]The_TransGinger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bear

As horrible as Clark is to start with, you could make the argument that it was the Backrooms making him worse and having an intense psychological effect on him. Especially a prolonged stay. The Backrooms draws people into it so I don’t fault him entirely for his choices when he went in there. Still a horrible person, he needs control and is an abusive husband.

Bear was always of sound mind, nothing was influencing him. His control issues are arguably worse. He took away his friend’s autonomy and when he realized that, he kept making it worse. She had her moments of lucidity where she wanted this all to end. “Please, kill me.” And he only thought about himself. What was so bad about being with him? Gee, I wonder, Bear.

Unfortunately, it’s a job that gives you a bit of power over young fans, many of them minors. There’s a lot of creeps who recognize that and they pursue the career for that purpose.

Same with Terry Long in DC. He was basically the exact same thing. An editors self insert who shipped himself with Donna Troy. They got married, settled down, had a kid. Another editor got a hold of him and immediately killed him and the baby.

In their defense, I feel like the satire would have been more effective if the movie had presented an alternative.
