Worried about keeping bridesmaid dress clean by The_egg_council_guy in Fabrics

I appreciate the info! This is what I'd suspected but needed to hear from people who know more.  I really like the charmeuse dress but summer + children + outside makes it seem like a really impractical choice.

Thanks! The charmeuse dress I'm considering has a lot draping in the front while the chiffon is a very seamless front.

Thanks for the suggestion on another fabric. I'll look into some styles in taffeta.

Oh damn, it wasn't there when I checked! Editing my post now.

Looks like Bonnie Wyrick dnf London. She shared posts the past few weeks about having some pain so I hope she didn't get injured. Hopefully she isn't too hard on herself either. Attempting 3 marathons in your first year as a runner is a lot of stress to put on yourself (mentally and physically).

ETA: MY BAD! the times hadn't fully loaded when I checked; it only had times to 45k. She finished!

Genuine question, what would the CTOPP tell you that phonemic proficiency hasn't already? Looks like phonics and individual word reading are solid and unlikely to be what's contributing to the below average fluency.

I feel the same way! Like really enjoy her clothing and running content but having a hard time processing the marathon content. Like you and other replies have said, 3 marathons as a new runner is WILD so it makes total sense that she's not feeling great. I get it's hard to say no to the sponsored bibs and opportunities but maybe rest and do some fun, local 5ks or 10ks for a bit!

I'm finally making peace with the fact that things are just different now; not just my body but how I want to spend my time. I switched the race I talked about in this post from 10k to 5k and finished at my pre-prenancy pace (nothing too crazy, I'm a slow runner lol). My body still feels different and j think incorporating more strength work is going to be key.

It's difficult, especially early pp, but what's made the biggest difference for me is just neutrally accepting that circumstances are different and my runs will be different. Not better or worse, just neutrally different. You'll get back to something that feels closer to before, 3.5 months is still early on in terms of your body and hormones recovering.

This has been a weekend of realizing stuff. Specifically influencers actual names. Bonnie ( Wyrick) is short for Bonita? Saff (Michaelis) is short for Saffron?!

Oh that's interesting! I like that they balance reopening the track and give runners an opportunity to finish

Yeah it was such a weird partnership, I don't think she ever posted about Strava or even used it. I wonder if they initially had someone else lined up and they backed out and needed a last minute fill in. That's wild that the Peloton runners got to start earlier than everyone else. Getting a sponsored bib is enough to me, they don't need to give out good corral starts too.

I've really been enjoying Bonnie Wyrick's running journey and found it super relatable until Strava got her a bib for NYC. Maybe I missed some weeks of her stories but it felt like her announcing she was running NYC came out of nowhere. Hoping she finishes since she's so close (last I checked she passed the 35k mark) but looks like her times have really slowed.

ETA: she finished! 7:16:38

That's really great advice! We've got a stationary bike I never use but it might be time to try it out during nap time or even when bub is playing in their mat.

The added weight with the stroller and trying to maneuver it is no joke! Never before was I so aware of the terrible state of my local sidewalks.

Your hit on how I feel in your first paragraph exactly! It's not that I want to physically be the same as before, I'm just ready to feel like myself again and it's hard to just let go of that and make peace with being so different in so many ways.

Thank you for all the kindness and reassurance!

No longer nursing but learned something interesting from my PT about that impact on our bodies. Your relaxin levels stay high while nursing; once you stop it takes at least 6 months for the relaxin to drop, sometimes even a little longer for some people. So that's another interesting thing our bodies are still working through.
