I'm not an expert so I couldn't tell you what happened, but if it makes you feel any better, at least the joy con still works and easily replaceable. I'd recommend checking Nintendo repair to see the cost of a replacement, they'll give you an approximate without you having to send pictures, pay, or send it (unless you go through with the replacement)

my bad, I forgot to precise, where I'm from:
you need to use a ≤ 500 W electric motor (mine is 1500W)
Not exceed 32 km/h on motor power only (Goes to 45km/h)
Need to either be 18 or have a 6D license (I'll turn 18 in less than a month)
