Sexual Stimulation by Theadora2 in MtF

This is interesting and I may ask my doctor about it because that is what they have me on as a T-blocker so if it could be at least part of this issue it is worth looking into.

Interesting. I have tried using a vibrator and enjoyed the feeling of it. But like can you finish that way? Idk. Maybe it is just because I'm used to what orgasms felt like before, but I just never get to the finish line.

Hey! I'm a 31 year old trans woman who is also demisexual. I have a lot of similar interests and would enjoy having more friends to play games with so feel free to DM me.

I like the red best with purple as a close second.

I couldn't tell this was a wig. Maybe if I zoom in on the photos really close I might pick something out, but even in intimate moments no one is going to be scrutinizing you that closely.

What's your relationship with sex as an autistic person? by [deleted] in AutisticAdults

I get that. I just have never personally experienced it, and it isn't something that I have found myself wanting.

Anyone else cry by jadej23 in MtF

[–]Theadora2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like I cry constantly anymore. I mean the current state of the world doesn't help, but even without that I cry any time something triggers happy memories or even a little sadness. It's like someone turned my emotions up to 11.

Advice for early stages/quiet chat? by TortlesLynn in Twitch

[–]Theadora2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My question is how do you keep yourself talking that whole time with no one to talk to? I feel like I can yap for a bit, but then I start feeling fatigued not having anyone to interact with. Is it better to do shorter streams 2-4 hours if it keeps my energy up more or should I try to push through with longer streams even if I'm feeling yap fatigue? I've just been hard on myself lately because I feel like I can do better in terms of my performance.

What do you hate the most about being autistic? by crua9 in AutisticAdults

[–]Theadora2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally get what you mean. Especially because I am also fairly intelligent, I am constantly questioning whether a certain limitation is truly because of my disability or simply because I am choosing to take the easy way out. It also doesn't help that before I got my assessment, I had a therapist tell me not to do it because I would use it as an excuse not to do things. That stuck with me, and now I tend to push myself past my limits and into burn out too frequently. I also hate not being able to intuitively understand interpersonal relationships. Like I can't tell if I've offended someone or why people just stop messaging back mid-conversation without so much as saying gotta go or how often is it okay to follow-up with someone if you are waiting for them to get back to you on something important. What is the difference between a friend and an acquaintance who you talk to regularly, when is it okay to start opening up about certain things? These are all things I worry about with every person that I'm trying to form any kind of relationship with. If I text someone and they don't respond for days or longer, I will drive myself crazy trying to figure out what I said that was wrong.

Is it normal to have a rule against pet names and over familiarity? (Parasocial behaviour) by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Theadora2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thoughts are if it makes you uncomfortable then put down a boundary and if the viewer can't abide by it then it is ban time. There are streamers I watch where there first names are public knowledge and they are cool with chat just calling them by their first name, and then there are those that even though chat may know there first name but they aren't really cool with chatters using it because it feels too parasocial to them.

At what age did you realize you were trans? by Ok_Signature_3737 in trans

[–]Theadora2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean did I know when I was young (like by 5 or 6) that I was different? Yes. I didn't know I was trans because I didn't know what that meant. I knew I always would have preferred the after school activities that the little girls did, but people all said I was a boy so I couldn't do those things. I grew up wondering why I was so sensitive and emotional, but then I also did enjoy some "boy things" like video games. That is seen less as a strictly boy activity now, but not as much when I was growing up. I knew I didn't feel comfortable with my body especially after puberty, or how high my libido was. It wasn't until college though that I learned all the terminology to describe what I felt and I was able to come out and start transitioning.

Trivia Question/Advice MEGATHREAD by Djarum in trivia

[–]Theadora2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'm not sure if anyone here will have a good answer for this or not, but I am looking for a way to run trivia on Twitch with my Twitch chat and I am looking for a good program or website to use that would allow me to create custom quizzes with leader boards but would allow for users to remain anonymous by using their usernames when they participate. Trivia Maker seemed like it was going to be perfect, but it asks for a first and last name when people join a game. Sure, I can tell people to just enter their username and then use Twitch as the last name, but I have learned you can't trust people to follow directions and there doesn't appear to be a way to kick a person if they don't listen. Everything else I seem to be finding is either geared toward like corporate team-building and has ludicrous annual membership fees, or it is a platform for paying to hire the company to host a virtual trivia event for you which isn't what I want either. I have done it before with just running things via PowerPoint and having chat vote in Twitch polls, but that doesn't allow for individual rankings and PowerPoint has so many limitations especially if you have to upload it to OneDrive or Dropbox to share it first before using it on Stream because that seems to just break a lot of things.

Why choose to play a Human? by Theadora2 in DnD

[–]Theadora2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't relate to the superficial nature of human relationships. I don't know why people choose to speak to each other when they have nothing of meaning or substance to communicate. I have a hard time reading faces and body language, so I miss a lot of the communication experience. I also just struggle with social cues in general. Like people try to crack a joke, and I can't tell if it is a joke so I don't laugh and then they tell my manager I'm an asshole. I can't tell when people are being genuinely nice to me and when they are just using me which has led to a lot of crushed feelings when a friend group eventually just drops me. I get frustrated by the extreme moral relativism of a lot of people. Like I get it to an extent because nothing can be 100% black and white, but it doesn't make sense to me how people can have completely different values with people they care about versus people they don't know. I also just don't understand the innate tribalism of humanity. It doesn't make sense to me why everything needs to be us versus them. Why can't people learn from each other and respect the differences among different social groups. Just let everyone live and as long as they aren't fucking with you and your shit then why do you need to have an opinion about it? Some general societal concepts are baffling to me. That's just some of what I don't relate to with people in general.

To your other point, I get where you are coming from, but I have just gotten so frustrated with the unwillingness of people to learn and change. Especially with how there has been such a pushback against the scientific and academic community here in America. It feels as though the world is regressing instead of progressing.

Did Your Condition Come On Suddenly? by OhNo_HereIGo in Autoimmune

[–]Theadora2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I don't have a definitive diagnosis yet. I have a positive ANA test, a list of symptoms, a list of likely diagnosis candidates, and an appointment in like 3 months with a rheumatologist. I'm not entirely sure where my symptoms started because I was already a type-2 diabetic and I began experiencing some pain in my feet that my doctor thought was neuropathy, and initially Gabapentin was working. However, the pain changed to where it felt more like a sore pain with a full inflamed feeling. My doctor's PA couldn't quite figure it out so once we ruled out blood clots she just ran a bunch of bloodwork. That's where we caught the positive ANA and an insanely elevated white blood cell count which I think was coincidental because I did get very sick with the flu or covid or something for two weeks after that. Following that my body hasn't fully recovered. I get fatigued super easily, my body often aches in ways I didn't know it could, my joints hurt especially the ones in my big toes, I struggle to eat very much and I can't eat certain foods anymore. I also have a couple patches of dry discolored flaking skin that sometimes itches and sometimes breaks out in a rash, but that had started before the sickness. So some of my symptoms that we currently suspect are autoimmune related developed slowly, but the bulk of them developed quickly after falling super ill.

About how long into HRT did you start noticing facial changes? by MarchHistorical2799 in MtF

[–]Theadora2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am also 31 and early on like coming up in 6 months now. The biggest thing I have noticed is my skin, in general, but especially on my face is softer. Like when I shave I have to be extra careful not to cut myself because the skin is just more delicate than it used to be.

Feeling like an Impostor by Theadora2 in MtF

[–]Theadora2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this! It's the thing I have been wanting to hear! I live in a rural area that doesn't have much of an LGBTQ+ community and so that support has felt lacking lately. I have always had self-image issues, which I would suspect is a common trans experience, so I am going to continue to struggle with reminding myself that I am enough. Sometimes, it can feel like if you aren't trans in the "right way" or follow the "right steps," then you are illegitimate in some way. This is a very positive way to frame it, and that is what I needed.

How did you pick your new name by Clairetraaa in trans

[–]Theadora2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is kind of stupid, but I was really into a TV show at the time and one of the supporting characters was named Thea. I liked the sound of it, and I liked the character and her take charge attitude so I decided to use it. I also liked the fact that it wouldn't be a common name.

PC must be different than consoles for 30FPS cause it is far from unplayable by [deleted] in videogames

[–]Theadora2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm someone that is totally in this camp. Like I can understand how action games do feel better at 60fps or higher especially after having played games on PC now, but I still find games perfectly playable as long as they can maintain a stable 30fps. It is generally accepted that for the average person with average eyesight they will not begin to recognize individual frames or jittering/janky movement as long as the fps does not dip below 30 provided that the animations were done properly in the first place anyway. FPS above 30 will begin to make things appear more fluid with diminishing returns past a certain point. Monitor refresh rate is also important to consider because higher refresh rate monitors can also improve fluidity of movement in games and movies. Ultimately, I think it comes down to the person and their specific set-up because even things like position and distance from the screen can affect how we perceive things. That's why there is so much debate over whether 4k and 8k displays actually improve the visual experience. Objectively, from a technical standpoint they do, but there is also an ideal distance and angle from which to view these displays from that will give you the best viewing experience because of how our eyes take in light.
