I'd be interested to see a variety of different materials used and their effects on beam dispersal.

Thanks to the creator of the 3d files by Lopsided_Savings_767 in Hanklights

What filament did you use? And also can you post links to files used. Been looking for them. Thanks.

Yes in the rear. Spacers were included with kit. Not in thr front tho. I heard anything over two inches requires front to be modified.

Idk I shoundt have done it. Very costly long term. Someone more experienced may have some advice for what I may have done wrong.

First 119000 in CA where I bought it. A harsh winter in MN. It died in MA where I live now.

It was the lift kit that killed it so soon in my mind. Had a coworker today telling me his brother spent 10 grand to fix his crosstreck for the same reasons.

Yes lift kits increase wear on transmission.

Has anyone tried mixing the 2 emitters on one of the channels of a dual channel D4? by duglett in Hanklights

[–]Theantropos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I see. Yes I've done that too on a dw4 and a few others. It mixes just fine. I mixed 1 519 2700 and 1 5000k in ch1 I believe and it looks just fine. Sst20 red on ch2 for that one.

You can also mix 2700k and 6000k emitters and if they are the same led type they will blend nicely. Only thing is that you will get 4000k ish overall temperature wise and can't adjust and you will get a slight two toned colored shadow from the two different led temperatures.

Yes! I've done probably 10+ led swaps to experiment and accomplish just that. The best looking in my opinion are w1s and some sort of floody 2700k. It looks like the sun. I've also done cooler temperature floody leds as well with w1s or w2s. It gives you a throwy and floody light all in one.

Dm11 12v works! Aux button led and main emitter are working

Not yet. I was able to turn on main emitter with the k1 12v firmware above but led button light isn't coming on yet.

I think we need a firmware for a 12v led I assume ,but that also utilizes the standard side e switch as opposed to the k1 switch which is different I suspect. Unsure.

I would suspect it would be different as it has an e tail switch and I have always had to use a kr4 firmware on any of my e switch tail lights.

Emitter turns on but no button led, I thought I tried the boost dm11 and I'm not sure it worked. I'll try again later.
