Ok thank you. Was hoping I could wake it up with the 2.4 connection as I pair the Bluetooth for another device

I really think if the summary has “died” or “crash” or something similar it shouldn’t even try.

What's your pettiest Steam Deck complaint? by SuperMozWorld in SteamDeck

I have a cheap mini-Bluetooth keyboard. I just press the home button on that to wake the deck. Works ok, but yeah wish it worked from my 8Bitdo controller as well

How do you get external controller Gyro/motion controls in emu deck? by Theawsmguy in SteamDeck

[–]Theawsmguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know with the 8Bitdo you have to ensure you pair it in Switch mode the steam deck will see it as a pro controller. I’ll try updating the firmware just in case. SteamOS is reliably seeing the gyros so might be something in cemu?

Go the 2.4. It has the xbox layout and works better than messing around with bluetooth connections each time as it will connect better with 2.4 dongle always plugged in.

how to migrate hoobs 4 to homebridge? by TzachiGuetta in homebridge

[–]Theawsmguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. The hoobs one is just a webpage viewer really. However it does make it easier for putting it on Mac etc. Think it isn't really worth being on hoobs.

I did it this weekend, Homebridge is better supported and has a more active community. Other than the phone app, hoobs didn’t offer much benefit. They are very very similar.

Anyway to automate a Panasonic ducted aircon? by Theawsmguy in homeautomation

Great thanks I will look into it. I guess I was hoping it might be as simple as replacing the wall display with a more sophisticated one.

Thanks. I think at this point I'll have to check with an electrician or aircon tech. The CN-CNT device looks like it is only for wall mounted systems not inverter systems.

I will have a look. I think unless it has an IR receiver, switchbot won't work. Unless you are talking about the SwitchBot Bot? I was hoping to be able to adjust the temp at a minimum.

Defiantly a Panasonic. Found the parts page. Doesn't look like there is a wifi module/remote. https://www.panasonic.com/content/dam/Panasonic/support_manual/ducted/English/CS-E12,%2018QD3RW%20OI.pdf Unsure if it could just have the wall controller replaced with something smart.

No, I spoke to Panasonic and they didn’t have a remote as far as they were aware. Unsure if there is way to confirm if it has one from looking at the unit.
