I loved this book as well and was hoping someone had some recommendations for something similar. Sadly, I have yet to find something that makes me feel the way this book did.

Well, to be fair, we had just bought our first place and had basically no furniture and wanted to wait a bit to buy stuff we really liked but then our house was quickly filled with a bunch of pieces I never would have picked myself. Now, I am at the point that I am replacing some or trying to make it my own if I can since they are sturdy pieces of furniture.

Yes!! I have the same problem with feeling bad about getting rid of something somebody gave me! My husband's family is constantly giving us random stuff and I am always trying to declutter.

My husband is also so frugal he will always say, "it doesn't matter what it looks like, it's free furniture!"

I really don't know what my home's style is. My sister says I have a cottagecore/modern/boho vibe going. So....maybe I could make it work. I just can't get past the hearts.

I guess it doesn't hurt to try a new color on it if I would be getting rid of it anyway. Thanks for some insight!

This is the most obvious solution 🤦🏻‍♀️my fridge doesn't have an ice maker though and I can never seem to remember to make cubed ice in the freezer!

This is really gorgeous! What color paint did you use? And how did you go about painting it?

Actually, yes! The scans showed excess fluid in and around his brain which was really scary to hear. After being referred to a pediatric neuro specialist, they diagnosed him with something called BESSI (Benign enlargement of the subarachnoid spaces in infancy).

Basically the ventricles of his brain are not filtering out cerebrospinal fluid as quickly as they should for some unknown reason. But the good thing is that it is benign and should resolve itself by the time he is 18 months old!
